  • everything but climate is right

  • koo koo.....koo koo......koo koo

  • he speaks the truth

  • I wouldn't say climate is our number one problem. Our number one problem is all this hate and intolerance between people. If we fix the climate, we'll just screw it up when we nuke each other. We have to get ourselves straight before trying to fix the planet.

    Mike Gravel '08

  • The lesson that history teaches is that things do not change when people feel comfortable and prosperous. That is how Americans feel. It's a charade on so many levels, but Americans aren't desperate for change, and so they will not get it.

Unfortunately, things will not change until things get truly bad ... so bad that these talking heads can't hide it anymore.

  • Everyone always talks about the ron paul revolution. Well, what about the Gravel Revolution?? Mike Gravel is where it's at! He's the only candidate on the stage willing to admit the War on Terror is a sham and a dumb concept. All the other candidates actually agree with it but just disagree with the way Bush has handled it. It's disgusting.

  • LaRouche: Destroy the Bloomberg-Wall Street Fascist Election Ploy Being Launched in Oklahoma This Weekend

January 6, 2008 (LPAC) -- A confab of elder Republicans and Democrats is being held in Norman, Oklahoma today and tomorrow, for the launch of a "national unity" appeal, featuring the prospect of the candidacy of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg as an independent third-party candidate. Bloomberg announced last June his independent party status.

  • grandpa gravel is the only real democratic candidate. true american liberals all need to support this man over that crazy screamer hillary, that populist loser edwards, and the "all style no substance" obama

  • That was an impressive ad! You're definitely one of my "up there" candidates, Mr. Gravel. I have profound respect for you.

  • Don't worry about candidates. People need to join LaRouche now! The revolution is on now! We can win the battle for civilization now, before the election. The collapse is on and only Lyndon LaRouche has the policies and the movement, to defeat oligrchic control of the nation of thee world through a finacial shell game. see larouchepacdotcom listen to some LaRouche webcasts awesome!

  • He's been predicting catastrophic economic collapse for over five years now, the whole time saying the sky will fall within six months. Never happened. In fact, I can't find a single major prediction the man has made that has come true. And don't bother mentioning his speech in Germany about the USSR collapsing - there's absolutely no record of that speech ever taking place outside of LaRouche's own PAC groups.

  • I'm sorry dude, but the man is blinded by his history degrees. The patterns that he keeps seeing just aren't there.

  • These comments are towards the Larouche guy down the comment page, NOT about Gravel. They just aren't showing up as replies for some reason.

  • well the man is not blinded he is rational. the only rational candidate

  • Comment removed

  • Gravel should have run in '76 or "84. he was better known then and he would have been given fair and equal treatment by the media...I admire and respect this fine American.

  • actually no he was a maverick even then. We just revere him now because we see the results of his actions. (ending the draft, ending vietnam, alaskan pipeline).

  • I understand his maverick past, I ment he should have run then because he was beter known, i remember him at the '72 convention ...of course it's all 20/20

  • well I think his chances are pretty much equal.

But w/e. At least we agree on he should be elected.

  • I support Gravel. But, he can't make it onto the democratic ballot unless we all go and get our friends and caucus for him. Tell everyone you know. Our country needs this man!

  • Paul Gravel 08!

  • I am 100% Republican and have been officially since my 18th birthday. I am now 39 years old and I think Mike Gravel would be an excellent choice for our next President. I think he has the "Balls" to do what is needed to help fix this country. Mike, if you don't make it this time please consider another run in 2012. I Thank You Sir

  • ....what?

  • wow.

    you're a complete moron.

  • Wow Waldo, you live in a dreamworld. If you can't see any corporate censorship, which has been rampant in this country for decades, then you need to do a major reality check.

  • Mass Donation Day for Mike Gravel on 11/11 - please help a veteran on Veterans Day!!!

We have to make an strong impact by the 15th, don't let corporate censorship win this battle!!!

    For information please go here:

youtube(dot)com/gravel2008 (please subscribe to keep up with Mike's campaign!)

  • What led me to that presumption? Your "if you're not one, then you must be the other" style of attack. And I don't give two swizzle sticks what God you worship, as long as you're not throwing glass at female voters, lynching black people, or terrorizing homosexuals in His (or Her) name. Blowing up buildings and innocent people is also uncool, whether its in the name of God, Allah, or David frigging Hasselhoff (Rejoice, for the second coming of KITT is upon us!)

  • Actually, I have about as much a problem with Militant Islamics as I do Militant Christians. I'm no favoritist of any one specific religion, because honestly I think they're all bullcrap. Though I find it humerous that you two groups hate each other so much, I mean you agree on alotta stuff. You both think women should be subserviant, you both think homosexuals should be put to death, and you're both eager to wage "jihads" on anyone who doesn't believe in your invisible bearded sky fairy.

  • Phana24JG - Primitive savages? This is coming from someone who still follows a 2000 year old fairy tale. Oh and guess what, those same "savages" WROTE that book. Islam and Christianity were both invented by arabs.

  • Congrats, Gravel08, for making the top ten!

  • go gravel!

  • A very powerful thirty seconds.

  • Can't say I agree with this guy's leaning toward socialism, but at least he has some principles and have to give him props for filabustering the draft. Ron Paul is my guy, but having those two run against one another will show Americans they really have a choice. Best of luck!

  • Ron Paul would be my second choice out of all the candidates, but I'm not voting for him because I don't like the idea of choosing a candidate I don't fully agree with. He's not a bad candidate by a long shot, he's a good man-though I have serious problems with his pro-life stance and his views on the (lack) of separation of church and state. I agree with Gravel on all the issues, though I'm glad you're at least supporting Paul over any other republican-there's hope for this country yet.

  • Mike Gravel's health care plan rocks!

  • go mike grave!

  • Gravel knows very well what he talking about on these issues. Check out his bio. He is the one you really do want once you get to know his history and his platform.

  • Mike Gravel, worthy of the title President unlike many of the recent ones. Go Mike Gravel!

  • your ad has been featured at campaignads dot org

  • Check out the article by Crispin Sartwell , " Mike Gravel's ripple effect " .

  • +1 for eagleye9

  • Can we please stop all the partisan, ideological crappery and nominate Mike Gravel, Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Tom Tancredo? Sure they all disagree about a million things, but what they agree on is where we can all benefit.

Hilliani Romwards is not an option - Do the Right Thing.

  • Tancredo is a psycho who called for nuking Mecca if there was another attack on America as a way to deter terrorism and then had the nerve to defend his statement. Bobmb a site sacred to 1 Billion people worldwide? That'll certainly make 'em not want to attack us again. *sigh*

  • Truly that was the dumbest thing he ever said. Worse than Kucinich's "Star-Power" speech. That's why I put those two last.

  • Can't someone delete this garbage?

  • hey look at you! a hired thug working for Giuliani, Cheney or bush?

  • NET NEUTRALITY!

Mike Gravel is a proven MORAL leader.

Filibustered the end of the draft.

Will initiate a new investigation into 911.

National Initiative making the people lawmakers effectivly correcting the vile, treasonous corruption of Washington.

    Universal Health care for all.

Will end the war on drugs.

Heroically read the pentagon papers into the public record, exposing among other things the lies which lead us into Vietnam.

Abolish the IRS and replace with a FAIR TAX....

  • GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT

  • I like the dude. Donated $20 last night.

  • right the fuck on.. I think I will donate too.

  • No gay marriage.

  • no stupid rednecks

  • Gravel for President!

"In a time of universal deciet, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell.

    911=Bush>>INSIDE JOB!

  • GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT,seeing his honesty almosts moves me to tears there actually is hope left in this world!

  • I agree with everything he says except that global warming is the biggest crisis to humanity. I think it is HIV/AIDS personally however global warming needs to be addressed as well.

  • Why the Americans who claim to be Christians, are the staunchest ally of the Turks who committed GENOCIDE on the FIRST CHRISTIAN NATION OF THE WORLD, the Armenians? Why are Jews suppressing knowledge of the Armenian genocide in order to curry favor with the Turks who just elected an Islamist government? What does Christ tell George Bush when He speaks to the president? that screwing the first Christian nation of the world is in our national interest perhaps, as the State Department claims it is?

  • God is good. All the time. Non-Christians tend to make our world less useful and causing our world to be useless.

  • Tom Lantos, THE ONLY HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR TO EVER SERVE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, prevented the recognition of the genocide of the first Christian nation of the world, the Armenians. By Bill Weinberg: 'Despite the lobbying efforts of Armenians who inhabit Israel, Israel refuses to officially recognize the Armenian genocide. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) petitioned the U.S. Congress not to pass a resolution officially recognizing the Armenian genocide.'

  • He was bribed along with GOP Tom Delay and Dennis Hastert - they took money from Turkish mafia and belong in prison.

Sibel Edmonds is on record but Democrat Henry Waxman just covers it up.

  • Wow, want to explain that one?

  • "Non-Christians tend to make our world less useful and causing our world to be useless."

Wow. Except for the fact that the three people to have donated the most to charity in our country's history--Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Andrew Carnegie--have all been atheists.

Born-again Christians have higher crime rates and higher divorce rates than any other religious group. How about getting your own act together instead of bashing other people, you chode?

  • Do you have any proof to back this ignorant statement?

  • Don't listen to insidebetween!!1

  • Yes. Jews and Americans, don't listen to me. At your expense.

  • Vote for Gravel....SMART MAN AND HAS SENSE

  • Mike Gravel with no doubt is the only presidential candidate that is actualy "Honest" and does not have a hidden agenda behind his run for presidency. I can guarantee you that Mike Gravel is not a member of the Free Masons, Skull And Bones, Illuminati, or Any of the other secret occult organizations that the rest of the presidential candidates belong to. Of course the rest of them won't tell you that they are being completely controlled by the Occult.

  • Vote for Mike Gravel! A real dude with something to prove.

  • 30 seconds until he croaks, right?

  • god forbid americans elect someone who has the country's best interests in mind, who tries to understand where people are coming from, and answers questions thoroughly without dodging the question. The people who are scared of him are scared because they are incapable of understanding educated language. I haven't heard a single thing out of him that wasn't reasonable and beneficial for americans.

  • WOW! AN OLD WHITE GUY RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT! HOW DIFFERENT!!!

I'm sure our country will change A LOT with HIM in charge!

President Gravel. Wow. It sounds horrible. People normally walk all over gravel. Where's Senator Limestone and Congressman Sawdust?

  • I guess you would vote for Obama because he's black, or Clinton because she's female? Just like how Evangelicals voted for Bush because he was one of them? If you want something different, try voting for a candidate based on a reason that isn't stupid. :)

  • I am guessing by your sophomoric analogies that you are still in high school or somewhere close.

This should not be about race or names, but the character of the person.

    Grow up a bit Jizedi......

    btw... RON PAUL 08!

  • So your racist AND ageist. Nice combination.

  • Are you black and racist? LoL to Snator Limestone and Congressman Sawdust. That was original!

  • "Don't worry sir, I'm from the internet"

    "Lol, Internet" -Albert Einstein

  • Mike Gravel and Ron Paul.

Let's pick the greater of two goods for once!

  • We need Ron Paul, Gravel and Kucinich, along with more like them, ALL working for us.

  • Also, at all these debates, minus this one, Sen. Gravel hardly ever gets respect or credit for what he accomplished in the past. I get the impression these Senators think they know everything, and couldn't use the information or knowledge that he has to offer. However, I understand their reaction sometimes when he speaks. Like Mrs. Gravel stated once that his passion sometimes comes off as anger. It would be nice if they could borrow some of that passion to actually end the war.

  • Go Gravel!

  • Cool, calm and collected. Quiet, confident integrity. Mature, self-assured delivery. Solutions to our problems, with matter of fact explanations when you follow up. He's my man.

  • This was one of the best videos at the debate. Most were just emotional appeal but Gravel tackled all the major issues in 30 secs! GO Gravel 2008!

  • Great ad, good job on trying to inform people on your positions. Mike Gravel for president '08!

  • Great ad.

  • great ad

  • Your a good man Mike Gravel. You make the other demos look out of touch with many people. I hope you get the nomination and Ron Paul gets the repub nom.

  • Can you imagine that? The people having 2 decent choices?

    Surely the end times! LMAO

  • YOU THE MAN GRAVEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I´m with Ron Paul!

    RON PAUL 2008

But I hope Gravel gets the democratic nomination!

  • Not only does america need Mike Gravel. I think the world desperately needs him as well.

  • As a Republican watching on with no say in the primaries I want to say you had the best video. Straight to the point on many topics. Its ashame the mainstream media still managed to keep you out of the debate. Not to mention the camera shots.

  • Agreed on all your points there Weasel774, but specifically on the fact that it is downright aggravating to see how other candidates were given the royal treatment by A. Cooper while Sen. Gravel was shoved to the side (or at least the attempt was made to shove him) ... but this has been the Democrat way for the past 12 or so years: push the truth aside. For the sake of transparency, I am an Independent.

  • mail cnn....tell anderson cooper to apologise for the unfair treatment of mike....tell him he should be ashmaed and that you are ashamed to watch cnn after this.....just type in 'contact cnn' in your search...and then send a mail to anderson 360.....we cannot let cnn get away with shit like this,

most trusted name my ass....most sold out name in news it should be

  • Calm down, Anderson did a good job hosting. What the heck was he suppose to do? They are not suppose to go off topic like Gravel did. Your suppose to answer the question and attack whoever you want in the content, now go off topic and start your own little debate.

  • Er, where did Gravel go off topic? More than any of the other candidates, I mean.

  • Read the transcripts, you'll see. I'm mostly refering to the first two times he spoke.

  • re: the obama attack, it was pretty legitimate. He was talking about campaign fundraising transparency. Obama's a great example of fundraising obfuscation. He only singled him out as an example, but the attack applied equally to all candidates.

  • The question was "Are you a "liberal?". He asked Clinton, then he told Obama what he thinks, and they he asked Gravel to weigh in. Gravel went offtopic and attacked Obama instead.

  • What got me about the attack was Obamas' response. Instead of responding to the fact that he was accepting the funds, he praised the fact he created created this law so people would know he did. Interesting...

  • i know....and the ny times article really shows through research that obama was lying through his teeth during the debate.....

  • and the "law" isn't even law yet!

  • I don't know if it was Anderson who aided in the ruining of the debate, but CNN as a whole did butcher what could have been a fair debate. They cherry-picked the question on YouTube so that the top tier candidates got more time to speak than the others. You saw the guy who did the number crunching above this, and it shows how Obama literally got twice as much speaking time as Gravel, and all the top tier candidates got WAY more time than anyone else.

  • If they would allow him speaking time, he would not have to go "off topic". The top 3 have a ton of money to get their message out - and we know where than money comes from!

These debates are supposed to be for us to see ALL candidates!

  • Best video out of them all last night. It wasn't made to to wow people with emotion, it wasn't made to make you laugh, it was made give us the truth, and that's better than what anyone else can give us.

  • gravel08 /donate

Paypal him $5 or $10 bucks. It'll take seconds. He took the bus to the debate... That says a lot.

  • GRAVEL 08 ThE NUMBERS GROW PRESIDENT GRAVEL PEOPLE SEE THROUGH THE LIES OF THE MEDIA. AND YES YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT WHEN THAT DOUCHE BAG ANDERSON COOPER CUT YOU OFF. GRAVEL 08 DONATE !!

  • If you like Mike, send him a donation at gravel2008. He need us as much as we need him.

  • somebody post the youtube debate video when gravel smashed obama and made him feel uncomfortable, that was great!lol

  • yes it was. Too bad that gravel wasn't able to respond to obama's rebuttal.

  • yea, while Obama tries to put his image under names of "hope and youth" and i feel almost familiar to a kennedy vibe, which does not make him unique in anyway,i just wished they allowed Gravel more time i enjoyed hearing him speak

  • It was depressing when the audience cheered for Obama's bullshit answer, though. "That's the kind of leadership I've shown in the Senate, and that's the kind of leadership I'll show as president...blah blah blah blah."

  • The audience was chearing for everyone almost. I think they had a sign that told them when to applaud. : )

  • can I post anywhere without having to be approved what happened to free speech what are they afraid of me saying?

  • thank you for letting me post here without fear of what i might say!

  • amen brother.....i hear you....thet are so scared of negative comments that they censor us even before reaching the whitehouse.....

  • when anderson cut you off, you should of just left.

that would have made a very clear statement of how biased that "debate" was.

  • And what would that accomplish? Gravel's political suicide. He's already almost unknown. Anderson didn't cut him off, its just that your not suppose to go off topic like he did.

  • Yes. Nobody else went off topic. Good point.

  • Everybody went offtopic in a a way. but none like Gravel. For example, the first question, he attacked Obama, yet the question had nothing to do with Obama or how he got the money.

  • This is true, and sorry for the sarcasm. I guess I just have a major problem with these debates in that they're not actually debates at all, but a platform for a bunch of hacks to rehash the same old political slogans. So when I see a guy like Gravel legitimately question where Obama's loyalties lay, it wakes me up a little. Given his willingness to speak his mind, the fact that he's that "crazy old guy" in this election is really just sad.

  • you're the fucking man. Kick some ass in the white house.

    You're Friend,

    -Gilbert

  • I spent the last few hours tallying up the numbers using the CNN transcript of tonights debate:

Candidate, total exchanges, total words, average words per exchange:

    Obama, 14, 2050, 146

    Clinton, 12, 1794, 150

    Edwards, 12, 1661, 138

    Biden, 7, 1019, 146

    Richardson, 7, 910, 130

    Dodd, 8, 1645, 206

    Kucinich, 7, 985, 141

    Gravel, 7, 580, 83

  • Nice number-crunching.

Gravel said the most with the fewest words.

  • Excellent work tonight, Senator. It is a blasphemy you were only allowed a paltry 4 minutes. I will have to watch your campaign closer, as you seem like the candidate with the most soul, per se.

    Congratulations, and good luck, sir.

  • "how can the media do x?" "how can the media do y?"

somebody's been neglecting their chomsky readers...

  • I think EVERYONE needs to STOP watching CNN all together if you pay for the pipeline CANCEL it. We need to make a statement that we are not going to tolerate that kind of behavior. I really thing all Americans need to give the idea of a revolution some very serious tought!!!

  • Mike Gravel you are an absolute inspiration. There is no candidate like you... Keep up the good works, The Cnn 30 second posting was great!!!!!

  • grrrr....im so pissed off at cnn....how the hell can they so blatantly sideline someone who actually has something new and truthful to say.....this is ridiculous...im going to write to cnn every 10min telling them how they have let america down....do it if u have the time

  • I was disappointed that Gravel didn't get nearly as much time as the other candidates. I was glad that Kucinich did very well though as another not well known candidate. Keep going Gravel!!!

  • WE have to spread the word about Gravel. If he doesn't get the nomination, I think he will run anyway. We need to be ready!

  • Hi Mike! This is Mike and I made a Donation within the 1st 24 hours when you needed it on you website. Sadly, I was let down and was not able to redeem my chance to personally exchange my thoughts with you as promised.

    a

I even sent a email to Alex, but there was no Reply.

Since this action can't be delegated, do you believe you can ask Alex & April who I am and contact me.

    Good Job Tonight ;-)

    mmasters2008 at comcast dot net

  • Same here. I have had numerous e-mails to his campaign bounce back. WTF is up with the staff? I have repeatedly offered to volunteer & get no reply

We need to take a lesson from the Ron Paul camp.

  • The thing is, is that half of Ron's Supporters are Independents, Liberatarians, or Democrats (Anti-War), he cant get nominated in the Primary without Registered Voters, and Gravel isn't trying hard enough on Fundraising and getting campaign offices set up in NH, IA, and SC.

  • Yep. I am very upset with the condition of his campaign.

  • Awesome job. I wish the American people would automatically disregard the candidates that are bought off by corporations (Clinton and Edwards) Give them hell Mike Gravel!

  • I thought Kucinich won but Gravel was most memorable and intriguing.

  • Gravel was the only one willing to stand up and say what everyone already knows: that our soldiers in Iraq are dying in vain. Keep going strong!

  • Wow! Absolutely right about the Clintons tonight. And that last question was just ridiculous, but Kucinich did give credit where credit was due.

  • I had to clap for Kuncinich for that one! hones and honorable!

  • I HOPE HOPE American people are smart enough to see his man as the next president of United States, picking somebody else would just be plain masochistic.

  • you did really good tonight, FUCK HILLARY!!! you shut that bitch up

  • you did really good tonight, FUCK HILLARY!!! you shut that bitch up

  • great job tonight mr president.

  • make this man president tomorrow....please...before its too late

  • This was the best add in the debate, and Mike did pretty well, except the first two questions, which he answered in a horrible way. He went off topic big time.

  • ya but that second question was a loaded question designed to attack him and they didnt give him the time to say what he meant by them dieing in vain.

  • Actually I think on that question he did good. I'm talking about the two times he talked before that. He went offtopic

  • Yeah when talking about Obama bundling, he delivered the response poorly. But he's still good

  • follow the money!

  • It only took him the 3 or 4 minutes he was allowed to completely win this debate for anyone who actually listened. I urge people to do more research on this man, he should be our president in 2008.

  • Hillary Clintons profile has the comments set to be pre-approved!

Guess she needs a good filter.

    Go for the gold Gravel!

  • loved you're "follow the money" and "business as usual"

  • I definetly believe you needed more airtime. They were discrimination against you for some reason. I think it is because you are the most qualified for the position as President of the United States. Vote Gravel 08'

  • You were the best man at the debate. The spineless candidates standing around you make me embarrassed to be an America.

  • Anderson Cooper is doing a miserable job all this time that I am watching the CNNyoutube debates. He picked the silliest questions to make youtubers look idiotic. He interrupts Mike and everyone. It's a shame this debate is turning out this way.

  • That's a great commercial i'm glad they aired it during tonight's debate.
