Hello! Thanks for making this video, I really enjoyed it...it was an interesting peek into your world :) I wonder why anyone bothers to leave mean comments?? Those people are ugly on the inside. x
Good luck, Jen, I'm sure you'll be able to keep it up. Your idea of changing one thing every two weeks sounds very sensible and feasible, I think you've got a great approach! Take care x
I think you have the right attitude and I wish you a lot of success. I went through similar losing/putting on weight phases in the past. 5 years ago I did WW and also made significant and permanent changes to my eating habits so I've been quite slim since. I tend to eat more and put on some weight in Winter so I'm trying to get back on track now. Mariella xx
it sounds like u've got such a great idea! i luv the whole concept of doing 1 new thing every 2 wks! it's going to make such an amazing change & you'll be a new woman before u know it! have u tried green tea with lemon? yummy! makes it so much more drinkable! with jasmine is yummy 2! I agree with Rosietint tho, SW is amazing! I got tiny without trying on it a few years back. Am trying again now as have same problem with eating boyf sized portions! mon dieu!!! :) xxx ps, you're GORGEOUS!!!!
Slimming World have completely changed their plan if you do want to know how they've changed it I'll be more than happy to explain it all to you, it's so much easier to keep up with normal life.
Best of luck to you hunny, I know exactly how you feel but don't have the confidence to put it all up on youtube.
Great video my love - very brave and honest. Wanted to give you a hug! And you're not a 'fat, ugly whatever', what a revolting thing for people to say. x
honey b, i just want to climb into the screen and hug you!! :( i love my leather lady wether she has more or less in her bag :) you can always chat to me: beanpole betty about anything with food and weight sweetkins. as i said on twitter, TGIRL GOT YO' GOD DAMN BACK! :DDDD
I think you are so beautiful and honest, and I love that about you. I have struggled with my weight as well for over 18 years. I have started as well to make some changes and the first for me was to cut back on the caffeine as well, with only one pop a day and to drink more water. I love your idea with a new habit every 2 weeks so I think I may try that as well, so thank you! Keep us posted with how things are going, I would so love to watch that! :) Take care!!!!
I wish you the very best with the new plan. Permanent changes you can live with, is the only way to go... in my experience too. Drinking water and natural unprocessed foods along with regular exercise really works wonders...
Great video and good on you for making it. You look fab as it is and like lots of others, I really enjoy all your videos. Theres no pretense and theyre always very informative and interesting. Good luck with everything :)
Good luck with the changes you are making. I love the 2 week challenge thing, I think I will try it cos I am def in a caffeine addiction cycle, where, like you, don't end up eating til mid afternoon cos I've been on the cofffees all morning! Pls keep us up to date with your progress. You are an inspiration. x
it takes a lot of bravery to post a self-improvement video. I wish you the best!!! You're right, little changes you can stick to are much better that huge drastic ones you can't stick with. <3 And you ARE GORGEOUS! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Yeah these videos are great because there relatable to everyone in diff ways. I myself have just started my healthy eating today. I have cut out all fizzy juice excpect the odd diet drink. Couldnt beleive how many less calories there are in diet! lolol water in bulk lol as i nevr drank any before. and for snacks low callorie cerial bars. I may alow one take away every 2 weeks or so becase i agree with you. You go raidcal and cut out everything and it wont last.
iv started to ditch the caffeine during the day and replaced it with green tea, which i thought i would hate but its really nice,iv tried the one with pommegramte too and i didnt like tht but maybe you shud give just green tea a go! aww that made me feel really sad at the end love, dont ever think that becuase you are not! we all love you and who cares what the haters say!!! xxx
Good work, I did an eating overhaul before my wedding and I'm getting back into it. Try spearmint tea, I can't stand herbal or fruit teas! Also try diluted fruit juice instead of squash as the additives in squash are nastier than the sugar! I'll email u a really great book title that me and the hub are doing. I've had it for 5 years and it's the best!
I totally agree with you about not doing anything extreme and making small changes. By making little changes to what I ate and exercising a little more I lost a stone last year . ok after hurting my knee i slipped back into my old ways and put half back on. but i'm back on track now making little changes and its definately the best way to do it. I've tried depriving myself of chocolate and the like but that just makes it very hard to stick with.
hey! you seem like such a beautiful and kind person inside and out :) you are very well balanced between your job, personal life, and public youtube cosmetics job/life too!
i agree very much with the idea of making changes in your head instead of going to the meetings... see i am not overweight but there are changes i want and need to make in my life (i.e. i want to be a balanced and well rounded person between school, and my personal life and just giving myself enough time to do stuff)
Lovely video hunni. Good luck to you. I agree about the two week thing, i find if im trying to give something up (chocolate, usually) it takes around 2 weeks for me to stop missing it.
Oh yeah, i think disabling ratings is a good idea. i cant see the point in them anyway.
Whatever you decide to do with your eating habits, try to find a plan that you will stick to for the rest of your life. I'm not saying that you should be on diet forever, just find a healthy eating plan that works for you that you can adjust to your everyday life. I studied Dietetics and used to work as a Dietician, so if you need any help don't hesitate to ask! Best of luck! xx
Thanks for sharing :) You can do it! Slow and steady is the best way.
I just took up jogging in preperation for the Race for Life and it is hard but gives me really good results. Plus I'm hoping it's something that will develop into a hobby as well as a weight loss/fitness thing.
Jen, I really like the 2 wk habit idea! I could never cut down on c offee, very impressed that you can! And I've never had hater comments, I'm kind of jealous - I think ppl only leave them if they think a person looks happy, they feel they might be able to bring you down. Obviously don't let them! and you look so lovely when you smile (patronising oops but just had to observe that!). Good luck and be sure to update on your progress x
Have you heard about coconut water? Apparantly it speeds up the metabolism combats bloated tummy and is packed with minerals.... i read it in a magazine today, it says it's available in supermarket. I'm gonna try it, makes a change from drinking water....
Also have you got a juicer? You can make some really nice drinks that are REALLY good for you and i got a book by Jason Vale with loads of recipes etc.
I really enjoyed your video and btw you are not fat and ugly, i think you are lovely!!
I have done this before and it works, it is hard at the start but after a while it becomes second nature to you. One major change I made was to stop eating white carbs (bread, pasta etc.) and switch to wholemeal. This made a huge difference to me. Good luck and thanks for sharing x
Dear, you are lovely. I love your videos and blogs, and really appreciate how much energy and love you put into both. I'm feeling a bit inspired by your motivation for change...I think I'll try this slow but steady approach. It seems the most likely road to lasting change.
I really want to become more healthy for summer, Im just want to be more comfortable in myself, i defo think the small changes is a good idea, if i try doing something drastic i tend to get fed up and slip back to my old ways, so im going to defo try to introduce more fruit and veg into my diet and more water, and cut out the chocolate!! Im a chocoholic, so its going to be hard. Defo keep making these types of vids and let us know your progress. Good luck Jen xx
Thank you for doing this video, it was really interesting, I really like the approach your taking it's something I'm thinking of doing myself. Lot's of luck, please keep us updated!
I used to work in a hospital for 4 years, during which I knocked on a whapping 4 stone, I'm still paying for it now and trying to work off the weight, I think what you're goiing to be doing sounds great and I wish you all the luck in the world. Thank you for such an inspiring video, I'm going to try and do the same! x
Best of luck with this hun - you know we are all behind you :). Proud of you for making this video. I have gone on to decaf teabags now and am reducing the amount of biscuits and chocolate I have too. I have also increased the amount of water I have a feel better for it. I am doing a Race for Life in July and this has gave me the push to do it.
Good for you for making healthy changes! I def would be interested in hearing updates about your progress and the techniques you use. Shame on people for making negative comments - they're living such sad and pathetic little lives.
i wish you the best and i know that you will be successful because it's the same thing i started back in nov. - just healthier food and drink and it works more than any diet does. i lost about 10kg just because i think about what i eat, i still have a piece of chocolate from time to time and i still go get some fastfood but - as you said - all in moderation. i think that's the key. it's ok if it takes long to loose weight, but thats the weight that won't be back. :)
Such a brave video to make - this video struck so many chords with me I binge eat, comfort eat, whatever you want to call coupled with medication and illness my weight has piled on :( I've tried diets before but the weight hasn't stayed off your 100% right I need to change the way I think about your honesty has maybe given me the kickstart I need lots of love and luck xx
best of luck with this. You seem to be definitely in the right mind set for it. and thanks for sharing with us, made me think about the reasons I eat the way I do too. xx
I wish you the best of luck with this sweetheart. I really admire you for making this video and deciding to make changes - you've inspired me to think about being healthier, it's been a long time coming! Keep up the great work and I'm sure you'll do brilliantly x
My healthy change was to give up crisps and chocolate for lent. It was really hard to start with, but once it becomes a habit it gets a lot easier. Good luck with your changes, I know you'll keep it up.
I truly feel you on this video. I made a lot of changes in my life style and I can truly say "IT FEELS GOOD". Keep up the good work and don't give up!!
