I have not read the other edvidence but I wonder if Denzel would play a character that he does not believe in. I know he is a actor and it is just a job but I have heard that he wont do something that he doesnt believe in. Any thoughts?
@mrslick58 They found the shell casings in his car. From a 12 gauge. With his fingerprints. What more evidence do you need? I don't want to debate it, but visit the site: Google 'Hurricane Carter: The Other Side of the Story.' If this doesn't convince you, then nothing will. No jury ever acquitted him. This shows their actual evidence against him. People get convicted without murder weapons all the time if they have motive and other evidence, (shells/eyewittnesses/fingerprints/bloodtrails.) Cmon
@mrslick58 the people killed were killed by a 12 gauge shotgun. They found one in his car. Yet, I do not believe he was guilty either. A survivor said it was not him who shot all those people nor the person who drove him home.
@Dale747474 Yeah I had a look last night, all the evidence points to him actually committing the murders or at least covering for whoever did, he was never found not guilty but instead released on a technicality.
@farrell360 Ya, I saw that movie and drank the cool-aid for 10 years. I didn't know or believe Hollywood could get away with telling such a big lie and selling it to such a large audience. I also didn't think Bob Dylan would write a song about such a big social issue unless he was well informed on the matter. I learned my lesson, though. I will tend to disbelieve anything out of Hollywood from now on until I check it out for myself. Sad, I liked this movie a lot. But I don't like being lied to.
One thing that surprised me with the casting of this movie was the main guard in Shawshank Redemption played the main guard in this movie. When I saw him in this movie I tought he'd be a jerk again but in this one he actually cared about Carter. His character was a good guy.
My favorite Denzel movie. This part was very powerful because he took you there. You can understand exactly what he's feeling and going through. I can see why he's one of the best actors ever.

Dead on Maxioteque; this and that scene where he jabs the phone against the visitor booth glass.

@chuobio That's a good one too, but I meant the scene where he says "I don't have a few more years Myron ... Get me out of here."
