  • That is awesome performance and compares favorably to most alcohol stoves. That stove can feed 10 or 11 people in 48 mins. Pretty Impressive, thanks for sharing.

  • You have got to use the most scientific method I have ever seen with reguards to wood gas stoves. If we all applied this much detail to energy we would never want for anything ever again. Ever think of adding some thermogenerators to see what level of electricity could be reaped from a burn? This could provide light radio power for a family greatly enhancing their lives. Or even a fan power source should you build a stove that requires a fan.

  • do you have plans available for sale in the US? thanks Jim

  • I'll tell you what, that's not very efficient for heating up. HOWEVER, if you are going to cook sous vide (slow cooking meat at low temperatures) than it is perfect. Right when it hits boil. You're done cooking.

  • Wow. Extremely impressive work.

  • ( In a nutshell... charcoal filters water... cooking a stew is nonsense)

  • Mr Lanny I dearly respect and enjoy your videos. Its a frog hair from actually being there. If I may say so.. you are hung up on fuel. Especially, the idea of charcoal.

    Why??

  • @tonysshadow Mr Hansen understands the effort that goes into a meal in the third world many have to walk for hours a day for water then additional hours for charchoal deforrestation in those areas is beyond what we can comprehend. Also these folks suffer disease from the smoke of inefficient cooking methods they can have their lives greatly enhanced through the use of one of Mr Hansons designs. Using things we throw away we could easily reduce deforrestation and aid in some small way.

  • Im awful glad to see you still have an interest in small scale. Feeding a village is a bit too ambitious for me. That being said, remembering my times as US Marine...I can easily see a concept here. A few tools to feed a fire team, rifle squad, or platoon.

To put it another way, a few tools to feed a family, in-laws, neighbors.

My mind keeps going back to the old western movies though... lamps burning with coal gas. Fuel stored.

I would dearly love to see where you imagination goes there.

  • Any special kind of wax?

  • truly spectacular i stand in awe of your great designs! you have to show us how to build this wonder

  • Great design, very inspirational!

  • Incredible efficiency! Very impressive.

    thanks

  • Great !!! Excellent !!! Now if we could get a few thousand of these to Haiti this would really help out sanitizing water and cooking food. All the Best to you Lanny.

  • Lanny, brilliant as always! Your top lid component is pure genius. Still like your bamboo concepts, hope to see you doing more with bamboo. Can’t wait to see a cooking test vid. Good to hear you narrating your vids again.
