Thats a scary but true statement, I am glad the APT didnt suceed but its failure caused the tilting tech which the italians pride themselves on to be sold back to us, we created that technology not them

Yeah. virgin had bought the tilting mechanism from the Italians because they hadn't herd of the APT.

I wonder what the HST would look like if it had APT's colours.

Well. The APT-E was a train that didn't need electrification and it was more successful Then the APT-P.

P.S. What's the IEP/HST2?

TBH I think that I would like the APT and the HST to be both running at the same time span.

the iep/hst2 are replacements for the hst, i believe one is electric and one is diesel, not sure on that

nope but if the 222 was capable in excess of 140mph i wouldnt mind it being so. its the HST2 which is the next one, cant wait for it!!
