  • those tags are telephone pole identifiers...next time you're near a telephone pole you'll see those tags set in a tag liner to identify the telephone pole...

    The letter tags are probably from an old Horizone fishing boat......maybe the tags have fallen off as it collides with an rock or something in the water.

    If these tags could talk, they would tell you how they get lost ;)

  • Love the music! Great finds! The letters, I think, are for gas and water valve markers on streets. we have them here in the UK.. Like little signs with interchangable numbers and letters.

  • foreign coins end up in quite afew strange places. i had another detectorist on here tell me he found one of our half crowns in the US, thats a long way from home. i guess possibly tourists lose them maybe? The most foreign one i have found to date is just an australian 5c, they were quite common to find mixed up here though, it would be awesome to find one like you found!
