  • great! this goes way back-thanks

  • i love this music!~rox~

  • sweet..this song is so 1940 kinda style which brings you much joy in listening!

  • Saw the Glenn Miller Orchestra last night in Seattle. Man oh MAN!!!! I don't know how that audience could sit still!! I sure couldn't. They did a version of Traffic Jam that kicked A__! I didn't want that show to end!

  • Is this about Back Bay in Boston, or is there another Back Bay?

  • @BobCarolan Yes, and Artie used to play in Boston at the Roseland Ballroom.

  • who is on the trumpet ?

I know bunny was with arti for a little while,

Whoever it is has a nice tone

  • No, Bunny did not play with the Shaw band, even for a little while. Only one "r" in Berigan. I believe Johnny Best took the trumpet solo on this record. For more of his great horn, listen to "Star Dust" by Glenn Miller.

  • thank you for the info, I am pretty sure both bunny and artie played with billie holiday , and at the same time. I did know that there was only one r in berigan it was easy to get the name. Glen was awsome

  • Yes, Bunny and Artie recorded with Billie in 1936. I thought you were suggesting that Bunny played in a band of Artie's. Why did you shortchange Glenn of the second "n" in his first name? Was it to compensate for having given Berigan an extra "r"? Just teasing. You needn't respond. The important thing is to enjoy the music.

  • OH my! We all had this record. Was great to jitterbug to.
