I like the William Tyndale version. Regardless how dated it seems. I cross reference between a handful of bibles. Mans work isnt always inspired or perfect.
I am surprised PD did'nt recomend The Companion Bible, by EW Bullinger, its a KJV with a wealth of additional info and has 198 appendixes that expound on various subjects. Also a great tool, an Interlinear Bible, I prefer one translated from the Textus Receptus Manuscripts. An Interlinear Bible is broken down in lines & sentences from manuscripts so you see how it looks in Hebrew, Aramaic & Greek, then Strong's numbers & english translation, so you see there's nothing left out. The apocrapha is not in spired. That's why it was placed between the testaments. The Catholics claim it is inspired because it furthers their doctrine. Baptism for the dead, prayers for the dead, paying money to have sins forgiven, etc. Also it is historically inaccurate. It has Epiphines, I believe, dying 3 different times. There is no spiritual or redeeming value in the apocrapha.

I have been fortunate to have read the bible in greek when i was a young student many moons ago as well as in old slavonic. Thank you for this video pastor dowell, my mother gave me an orthodox study bible, and i still find the translations incongruous to the context of passages, perhaps i need to learn hebrew or even arameic. I have heard the call to rediscover the word of the most high again for myself at an age where i feel my wisdom as an individual has pregressed and can be further refined
Believe or not... the more i read of this book... this endless wisdom for one who seeks to better themselves is astounding. I have always had a heart for philosophy and truth, but not until now have i found one source so abundent in useful knowledge.

Although It's probably best to have a physical KJV and Apocrypha. There are some good online Lexicon's like "eliyah strong's concordance." At least that's what I use.

Pastor Dowell, about 2 yrs ago, I asked a pastor his opinion of the NIV & I was told it's was fine. I bought it & noticed very soon that many verses were omitted from the Bible. I confronted him & he had nothing to say. Please make it very clear to read THE KJV ONLY. I don't trust any other version. Praise the Lord too for young men purchasing a Bible. I have Strongs conc, Halley's handbook old school one 1939 w/e, KJV, Rotherdam and a Peshitta Aramic Bibles, 2 books of the Apocrypha and a KJV Bible I mark up for study.((.no foot notes already there for me from someone else, I make my own notes)), and an old old old, very old.. Family inherited Grandpa's KJV like you have that has the Apocrypha in it. So if my dumbass can't figure it out with all the materials God has put in my care I guess I won't know what to do.

That looks like the exact same version of the KJV I bought last year. It is the 1873 edition so there is no Apocrypha included but so far it has been accurate when reading along with Straitway teachings and Sabbath worship services. It is a very affordable bible and was much nicer than other more expensive versions. Christ's words are also printed in red to make them easier to find.
@PastorDowell I do too. William Tyndale was burned to death for trying to bring an English language Bible to the average person against the wishes of the tyrannical church, I think he should be recognized.
kjv is one of the most incorrect translations of the bible - it is poetic, but inaccurate - it stole a lot of the most eloquent parts from the earlier tyndall translation, which is also inaccurate -you need the oxford english with all the footnotes (thick and expensive, but worth it)
U carry on about the KJV, but if it werent for catholics, u wouldnt have that translation. U need to use an Aremaic to english translation.(camel =rope, get it?). Peace & thx.

I studied from the King James 1611, with the Strong's Concordance, as a reference, to get past the translation, and get TO, the transliteration. Hebrew to English. One meaning and One meaning only.
But...my conversations with God are one-way. IF, there is a God? ... I am not among those in HIS book of life.

Pastor Dowell here is some more screwed up verses in another bible
New World Translation aka New World Order Translation it is the version the Jehovah Witnesses use.
Here are the errors:
Genesis 1:1 "....the Heavens and the earth." Heavens is plural
Mark 9:46 "-" verse is missing
John 8:12; Verses 8:1-11 missing
Acts 8:37 "-" Verse missing
Just another FALSE translation and yet they (jehovah witnesses) believe because of what their parents and religion tell them.

Pastor Dowell, about 2 yrs ago, I asked a pastor his opinion of the NIV & I was told it's was fine. I bought it & noticed very soon that many verses were omitted from the Bible. I confronted him & he had nothing to say. Please make it very clear to read THE KJV ONLY. I don't trust any other version. Praise the Lord too for young men purchasing a Bible. This shows that people are waking up by you on YT. God Bless.

I have Strongs conc, Halley's handbook old school one 1939 w/e, KJV, Rotherdam and a Peshitta Aramic Bibles, 2 books of the Apocrypha and a KJV Bible I mark up for study.((.no foot notes already there for me from someone else, I make my own notes)), and an old old old, very old.. Family inherited Grandpa's KJV like you have that has the Apocrypha in it. So if my dumbass can't figure it out with all the materials God has put in my care I guess I won't know what to do.

That looks like the exact same version of the KJV I bought last year. It is the 1873 edition so there is no Apocrypha included but so far it has been accurate when reading along with Straitway teachings and Sabbath worship services. It is a very affordable bible and was much nicer than other more expensive versions. Christ's words are also printed in red to make them easier to find.

kjv is one of the most incorrect translations of the bible - it is poetic, but inaccurate - it stole a lot of the most eloquent parts from the earlier tyndall translation, which is also inaccurate -you need the oxford english with all the footnotes (thick and expensive, but worth it)

I love you. I mean no disrespect. But, a book, does not a God, manifest. FAITH, does not a God manifest.
I studied from the King James 1611, with the Strong's Concordance, as a reference, to get past the translation, and get TO, the transliteration. Hebrew to English. One meaning and One meaning only.
But...my conversations with God are one-way. IF, there is a God? ... I am not among those in HIS book of life.
I mean no offense. There are those of us that are the exception.
