  • Thats unreal.

  • Federer doesnt move to the ball, the ball moves to Federer

  • Going off the idea that Fed is staying competitive with prime Djokovic at 30 I think the Federer in this video and the Fed of 2006 would handle Djokovic rather easily on any surface tbh. I also think the Fed of 2006 would dominate over the Nadal of say 2008 or 2010 on every surface except clay of course.

  • The previous generation had cleaner ball strikers by far. Federer, older Agassi, Nalbandian, Hewitt. The newer generation is faster, but you're seeing the toll it takes on their bodies to run that much so it's pretty much a wash IMO.

  • He just floats across the court... unbelievable.

  • how cxan the backhand be just down the line.... and then forhand not cross court. i mean how? lol... im so jealous.

  • Djokovic with a shoulder injury..

And people already started to compare him with Fed.. in his prime !!

Wake up, guys. 2006: Federer reached the finals of 16 tournaments out of 17 he's been in... winning 12. Calm, fast, and mischievously calculating. He ruled. As simple as that.

  • @Poeterish the reason djokovic only have 3 losses is because he pull out from tournaments whenever he feel he is not 100% and cannot win that tournament. His style is too physical and wanting a good year end loss record he have to do this. I think federer prime is better because he wins with ease but overall djokovic has more balanced hitting from both wings which is much more useful against player like nadal.

  • He's like the Mike Vick of tennis lol

  • best footwork yes. not sure about overall movement tho. Djokovic beat Fed in Montreal in Rogers prime and I'd say he was covering the court a bit better. And Novak is moving better than anyone now. Making even Nadal look slow! Novaks legs are longer and it makes a difference. That said, Fed is my fav ever.

  • best mover of all time. period.

  • the good ol days when roger actually tried

  • @bosnianlegend15 Lol, while I do understand where you're coming from, I don't think it's that he tries any less. I just think it's a combination that most of the newer players are flat-out faster than the previous generation (Nadal, Murray, Novak, Monfils, etc.) and on top of that, Fed's getting old. Whether he likes it or not, his reflexes just aren't what they were in his prime, despite how remarkable of a player he still is today.

  • TESKA´S ZONE

  • so fcking hot.

  • When was the impressive movement??

  • @Dario2622 When wasn't the impressive movement??

  • @xitrik94 Throughout the whole point, it was nothing out of the ordinary.

  • @Dario2622 that's because you're a tennis newb.

  • @Fernandez218 Hem dude I've played tennis all my life, Ive had a national ranking and I'm a tennis teacher.

  • @Dario2622 *national* ranking 100,000? these guys are on ATP *world* tour.

  • @Fernandez218 And your point is? that Federer is a better tennis player than me? yes so?

  • @Dario2622 my point is ur initial rhetoric was lame and completely unnecessary and borderline trollish

  • @Fernandez218 Ok then why didnt you say that instead of something that had nothing to do with that? And dude you are aware that no comments here are necessary right? Ppl are just saying their opinion, mine was that there is nothing impressive in that point. If you're not happy with that I dont care, sorry.

  • @Dario2622 i was expecting an explanation on why this was not an impressive movement instead of you moving to an explanation of you, which means nothin' over the internet. i can deal with reasoning but not ur qualifications as a "teacher" and "national" ranker.

  • @Fernandez218 Dude whatever. Something doesn't need an explaination to not be impressive it needs an explaination to be impressive. Taking 3 steps to your left to hit a forehand is not impressive and TONS of players, pro and amateur do it.

  • @Dario2622 more than 3 steps , dude. so, you're telling me tons of pros have the timing required for the "3 steps" to hit an offensive forehand like that? dude, whatever.

  • @Fernandez218 DEfinitely and after watching it again, it's even less impressive

  • @Dario2622 ur comments are unimpressive.

  • @Fernandez218 They're not meant to be impressive loll. I'm just describing reality.

  • @Dario2622 i know -- there's no point of taking this serious since you can make stuff up and no one really agrees with you. no point. thanks for ur opinion, i suppose.

  • @Fernandez218 Gee dude you found it impressive, just get over it and please buy a life.

  • What I miss from Federer when i look at his tactics nowadays, he no longers attack with his BH down the line to the opponent's FH. It's as if he's just not intimidated by his adversary's forehand. He will hit wherever he sees an opening. It seems that he doesn't worry about his executions from both strokes but now, he shows less confidence when hitting down the line, does it less often.

  • FTW

  • Its actually not perfect, that last forehand was a bit too close to his body :D

  • Most impressive is the racquet speed on the last forehand!

Speed is the key to power..

  • I find, with all the Federer videos, to get a really good appreciation of how good Roger is, you should keep watching his opponents (Nalbandian in this case) in the point to realise just what they have to deal with, all the shots they need to bring back and from what positions. It's relentless pressure.

  • @MrCWL hmm, good point, that actually helps a lot. :)

  • his bloody side step is my running speed, lol

  • his sidestep is obviously fast!

  • Look how fast he is sideways!!!!

  • ridiculous.

  • AMAZING

  • incredible
