  • The dad is the real deal...I can just tell by his comments...As a dad of a son with Autism...you just cant make this stuff up...I am gonna try this

  • awesome testimony

  • Great story. Glad to see jiu jitsu instilling so much positive power into a Childs life.

  • Great. Autistic or no it's awesome to build a kids self esteem and teach him to focus by having fun learning a functional life skill

  • people who dis-like this video, i hope you start a fight with someone who knows gracie jui-jitsu and get choked out

  • inspiring for realz

  • If schools replaced Gym class with Gracie Bullyproof Class, there would be no more bullying in schools.

  • @piratebri its a great idea because you learn respect, loyalty, and more. but there are people who use their karate or jiu jitsu to hurt others

  • That's why you don't take shit from them. I've let myself get punked by people I could turn inside out and let them. What are they going to do? Kick my ass? Stand up for what is right and don't let others take advantage of people.

Hope that kid continues to grow. Awesome story.

  • WoW very informative thanks again!!!!

  • OH THAT'S AWESOME!!!

  • Seth got skills! Say what you wanna say about the Gracies but it just puts a smile on my face when I see kids like Seth doing jiu jitsu. All the best Mike & Seth!

  • hey mike fiores, you kid started showing autistic behavior after his vaccine shots didnt he?

  • Autism is a Spectrum - some have it in a severe way, some to a lesser degree. It is harder for doctor's to diagnose High - Functioning Autism, so people get help (if they get help) much later in life. If your child Hops up and down, and flaps his arms or hands, and his conversations are one-sided, get your kid checked out. Seek 2nd and 3rd opinions. Interventions works best if done EARLIER, rather than later.

  • do i have to be bullied to get this bullyproof program?

  • Great that it has helped him with some self confidence. and something to show the bullies. I am not sure about losing the diagnosis of Autism but it is great that he is doing better.

  • Nice job Dad, best of luck to Seth. My son, Brenden is one of the only young kid to be working with Gracie Barra and just had his first class with Black Belt Professor Philipe Della Monica. He is 5 yrs old and I have uploaded a video of him training with. It is such a great thing and this is the start of more great things to come for these special needs children. The Gracie family is such a giving fun place to build confidence and find "family' values.

  • WOW!

This NEEDS FAR MORE publicity!!!! More autistic kids need to do this!

  • anyone know if they have a version of this like self defence type thing, but for older people

  • @thewarchild123

Yeah, it's called Gracie University. It's actually REALLY well ordered and effective.

  • @insdel2004

    You're laughable man!...hahahaaaa!!!!

  • @insdel2004

I doubt you want anyone to explain anything to you, since you seem to have such a strong condescending opinion of things and have missed the entire point of this story. People with autism are not retarded. In fact, they tend to be some of the smartest, richest most successful people in the world. For example: the following is a very small list of people with autism:Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Mark Twain, Emily Dickinson, Beethoven. I find your comments laughable and cowardly.

  • @twistedtender

I wanted to add something about people who are actually mentally or physcially retarded.

Retarded people are often times simply arrested at some point of mental development, but they function quite well. Sure, they can't draw up the blue prints to build a sky scraper, but they can understand a lot more than the average person seems to think they can.

Prejudice against retarded people stems from the same selfish ignorance and vanity that racism and sexism does.

  • @twistedtender you have a great point... except none of those guys had autism, but still :D

  • @fakeandgay69

try to google "famous people with autism" and you might be enlightened, fake&gay69.

  • @twistedtender try to google those people individually instead of a blog written by a disillusioned hack, you might be enlightened

  • @fakeandgay69

I am amused to see that you agree with me. Disillusioned means knowing and enlightened, the authors AKA hacks by you happen to be no less than 5 famous biographers who are published and 3 of which have PHD's. Tell me friend have you graduated high school yet? With a screen name like fake&gay 69, how can anyone possibly take you seriously :) you are amusing. End of story.

  • As someone who received a similar diagnosis at that age I'm really glad to see what this has done for Seth : )

  • Renner and Ryron, congratulations!!!

It's not just about Jiu Jitsu, but it's all about relationship. I'm 33 years old now, but, when i was younger, i had so many problems with bully that i can't see te videos without compare my own experience with the testimonials.

    Please, keep teaching us.

I'm a Carlson Gracie Team member, here in Brazil.

    Warm regards.

  • dam, I'm not a softy, but that shit made me cry man. I love that kid.

  • so going to show this to my brith family my brothers are autistic and picked on so much

  • Autism just tapped to Ju-Jitsu.

  • Hooray! Bullyproof is THE best baby shower gift I have ever found.

  • This made me really sad :(

  • @Battelrocks Dont be sad, be happy! this kid's gonna choke some bullies!

  • @jiujitsujody Well I guess but still though...

  • thats sweet.

  • THAT....is a super bad ass piece of marketing. Steven Spielberg himself couldn't have cast this better...

    An Autistic bullied child

A Father with a slight lisp who was bullied himself

Sad facts of the playground life of kids

PERFECT!!! It tugs at all the exact correct emotional strings...and offers a solution!

Excellent job on the advertisement...nice work.

  • THAT is a Super smart ass remark. I'm 4 tip blue belt Gracie barra, trained jits mma for 4 years now. The bully proof system is legit, marketing or not. Don't reduce it to a marketing scheme. My son has aspergers and these techniques have allowed me to involve him in training successfully. Congrats on getting the little boy involved in jits. It's still the best stand alone martial art style that doesn't involve weapons.

  • @jiujitsujody Whoa tiger! Perhaps the part of martial arts where they talk about peaceful centeredness has escaped you. I'm not sure if you always assume the worst of people, but it's not pretty...nor kind. (continued,,,)

  • @csreeves (continued)

I did not "reduce" anything to anything else. I merely ACKNOWLEDGED the marketing genius in this video. YOU, my friend, are the one suggesting something dirty or evil. If you'll take the time to re-read my comment with a less defensive set of goggles...you'll find that I'm very, VERY complimentary of the marketing I see. And perhaps you'll forgive yourself for firing one across my bow.

  • i wouldn't want some retard knowing bjj, or other martial arts. they'd probably kill random people "by accident"

  • @Gunskie idiot.

  • @Gunskie you are an idiot.

  • @masterblastertkd ya i know, i posted that comment after only reading the comment. after i watched the video i definitely regretted what i posted

  • @Gunskie I'm glad you had the balls to say that. You should probably go back and delete it now.

  • @Gunskie Although you might have picked your words better, this is a legitimate concern.

  • @TheMobhit the comment about them being possible murders? or me apologizing?

  • Yes, no kicking or violence.

    Only the human anatomy.

This skills are especial for the human body. The wrestling.

I will prepare whit this great style for my live.

  • Amazing story thats all I can say.

  • Parabens Seth

  • Is this the same vid posted twice?

  • @ 1:27 Freakin' amazing! You kiddin' me? How rare I see a child that young (even w/o disabilities) with the coordination Seth displayed there.

I'm sold. I've never doubted a kid's growing ability. Just the educator's lack of delivery.

  • nice vid seriously, made me thinking about my kid in the future :P

  • repost?

  • Great Video! When I was a kid my dad taught me a style of Karate called "Tang Soo Do" now called "Soo Bahk Do" but he didn't teach me to throw punches or kicks, only how to block punches and kicks. I think this bullyproof DVD is a great Idea on how to teach your kids self defense. I wish I knew Gracie starting out when I was young. Your kid may become the youngest American to achieve a black belt. THUMBS UP!

  • @SniperJDM If he can do it by age 19 he will officially be the youngest American. BJ Penn got his at 20. The dad's right though BJJ is totally life-changing, I have a disability too, cerebral palsy. It's like therapy for me w/o BJJ i'd probably be confined to my bed by now. Thanks guys
