@PAINTBALL55 If you open the piano roll view for the Session Drummer track, to the left of the keys you will see the names of the different drum and percussion sounds next to the corresponding key/note.
I loves me some Sonar :-). And that's an impressive feature, but I'd still scrap that drum track, The drummer that played that is going to kill you for replacing his bass drum anyway.
But before that he/she is going to sleep with your significant other. Odd choice for a vid, but it's very well explained.
@declan32001 Just don't tell the drummer and he'll be all "woah my kick sounds MASSIVE thank you mr engineer you can sleep with MY significant other now" or something.
@audiogeekzine It should also be taken into consideration that much of the time taken in the video was to explain the steps and play the comparisons, ect. It is a very quick and easy procedure when you are just doing it and not explaining the process.
That's interesting... I am not clear how you muted the bass drum only from the original audio track, yet the other audio sounds in the kit (snare etc.) remain unmuted.
@TomMarvan - The only time you hear the full kit is at the end when you hear the full mix. The kit was individually mic'd and that's what you're hearing at that point. Not sure specifically what the question is but let me know if this doesn't clear it up.
great video - nice clear instructions - well explained and easy to understand.
thanks for this

@miket1969 my comment is a bit rude. I do plan on making a video followup showing my fast method.
