but I bet you had to use windows or mac to capture and edit the video... Sorry. I really WANT to get into this whole open source thing, but time and time again I tray and every time something just sours the whole experience for me. The casual user shouldn't have to download and install stuff just to get their sound card to play nice, and they should NEVER under any circumstances have to go into the command line. Nerds are a different story, but we're talking about the average user.

the gnu / linux has tools for all (edit video,music,photos, drawings, 3D modeling ,etc !!

some (open source) programs are better than (closed source) !!

Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Kubuntu, sabayon, etc . are distributions (gnu/linux) very easy to use !!

you do not need to use the ( command line) for nothing !!

you can try the (gnu/linux) a live cd or or a virtual machine !

I recommend the (ubuntu 10.10) very easy to use !!!
