  • What song is this?

  • @kunnai its called Valsa de la Lune by yoko konno.

Most are too big and too fast for dwarf frogs. Occasionally he would get lucky with smaller shrimp, but this tank had a huge RCS colony so I could careless if he ate a few. Just because they try to eat the shrimp doesn't always mean they can. When your a dwarf frog, adult female cherries are no easy prey even if you can manage to catch them.

  • @mikaila31

    Hm interesting thank you.

  • Those cherry shrimp look to big for the ADF to eat but aparently not XD

  • hey im going to show u what i have i have enough gallons btw is this a good set?3 guppies

    1 bala shark

    2 tiger barbs

    2 green tiger barbs

    1 red tailed shark

    2 clown loaches

can i have a crab or african dwarf frog with no trouble (my fish tank comes with no lid btw pls tell me

  • @amthebadman No you can have neither. You need to research your current stock much better. I highly doubt you have anywhere near enough gallons for the fish you listed. There are no fish friendly crabs, none of the ones you see normally sold are for freshwater and will die in a few months anyway. Dwarf frogs stay very small and need a small tank with peaceful fish which is opposite of what you have.

  • @mikaila31 kk kool i have enough gallons m8

  • @amthebadman The clown loaches and bala shark you have require 75 gallons at the very very minimum. They will stunt and die young in a small tank. For this reason you should always research any pet before getting it.

  • @mikaila31 LOL red tailed shark with bala shark? ONLY two clown loaches? this guys an idiot! he prob has a 30 gal....

  • @amthebadman what size tank?

  • Sorry, I actually keep cherry shrimp in my tank with my frog! The un-compatibilitty post was by my cousin. Q: Where did you get those amazing marimo balls? Thanks!

  • LOL that was soooo funny!

  • I want to buy an 2 african dwarf frogs, but i'm scared that they will eat my shrimp (red cherry) are they compatible?

  • @ciciironwill27

They wont eat your shrimp whole- but WILL pick at it. legs and such :/

Eventually the shrimp will die and the frogs will eat them.

    Not compatible.

    I wish they were!!

  • @Dontelai They are compatible if you set things up correctly. My shrimp continued breeding just fine with the frog in the tank. ADF are very unsuccessful with catching the shrimp. And it was 100 shrimp vs 1 frog. A few might be lost, but no more then the fish cause. Still considerable reproduction rate. The shrimp had lots of hidey places. This is something I enjoy doing, if you watch other videos I like to mix things that you would not expect to be compatible.

  • @ciciironwill27 Hell yeas! my 1 ADF wiped out about all 15 of my cherry shrimp! expensive lunch!

  • @branfrog Mine ate a few cherrys, but there where close to 100 shrimp in that tank. I am not bothered by the loss of a few shrimp. This frog eventually disappeared, meaning he died and the shrimp ate him. So things balance out in the end ;)

  • 0:54 funny!

  • does the frog ever eat your babies?

  • the adf in my video ate all of my cherry shrimp! >:(

  • you must have a super happy frog with a fat belly then :D

  • he eats like a mofo! and he is a true adf not "clawed frog"

And to everyone else, just say "NO" to brookstone's frog-o-sphere!

  • thats cool, do you have any videos of him?

  • yes its in my vids called "how to feed an African dwarf frog"

  • hah i tink ive seem it before then :D

  • what song is that

  • valsa de la luna by yoko kanno

  • what are the shrimp doin at 1:36...?? how many shrimp do i need to defo get them to breed? lol that frog is fast as fuk

  • They were fighting over the food at 1:36. Depends on the tank, but I would start with at least a dozen.

  • thankyou for your reply. it is a 50L arcadian tank with 3 mino albino frogs, about 2" in size so they will not eat them and just about 4 small shabunkins. what do you feed your shrimp? because they seem to like it lol

  • They are eating some bloodworms in the video, they also enjoy algae wafers.

  • Woah! How are your shrimps these days? This is a great video.

I once had 8 Cherry shrimp in my current tank that has an ADF. The shrimp went missing after a few months with absolutely no sign or reason...water parameters were perfect! My LFS told me the frog ate them, but I've never seen him even attempt to bite at them...this video fills in the blank for me! :D

Cherry shrimps and ADFs are supposed to be good tank mates, but my shrimp became darn expensive froggy food!

  • There is a chance that he ate them. I'm pretty sure mines eaten a few of them. It doesn't really bother me, the shrimp breed enough that their is always another shrimp to take the place of any that get eaten. I cleaned my canister filter on my 55gal tank the other day and fished out about 24 live shrimps out of it and a couple fish fry.

  • Nice video! Is the frog trying to eat the shrimp?

  • Yeah he is, but those shrimp are fast.
