well, i think this is not a song about "anti-religion" at all. It's actually a new religion called "John Lennon". Human being should never be and can never be completely free from religion, blindly attitute, or other bias against other people. Because human being normally, as most of us, are weak. But we are 100% free to imagine. This is what John Lennon tried to tell us. Be strong enough to see "above us only sky".

Avril's a talented singer, and the point isn't "is she intelligent or not" or how much she repeats herself, but the fact that she has good intentions and is supporting civil rights across the world. guys... Avril's a talented singer, and the point isn't "is she intelligent or not" or how much she repeats herself, but the fact that she has good intentions and is supporting civil rights across the world. As long as she knows what she's doing, she deserves some respect for her actions. And she did do a great job with a song. Maybe she didn't make it as powerful as John Lennon did, but it was still beautiful and her voice suited the song quite well.

I always reserve a healthy dose of skepticism for such things, but trust me when I say I did try very hard to see the sincerity in all this; sadly, I don't. And that frustrates me more than the cover itself, which I actually found rather decent, however bland.

John lennon had more success, or at least as much as Paul mccartney, even if he was singing those songs that critisized governments and talking about current issues (that havent changed much over the past few decades) while paul was still singing other songs about love and those kind of things that songs were usually about... Of course John Lennon has more credibility than Avril Lavigne, you can't compare the two
