I think sleep and dreams, next to the mystery of what happens after death, are the greatest puzzles of life. Why do we sleep? If we get our energy to live from our food, then like a motorcar, we should have energy to run 24/7. But we don't. We have to sleep and rest. Then we start to dream. Why do we dream at all too? Somehow our minds create a movie at night for our viewing pleasure. Why? I have only questions, ExF. No answers. : ) The winter scenes as a backdrop to your voice was great!
@LoveMattersMost Thank you for your comments, Bri! You have very intriguing questions. Questions that will probably never really have any answers. I guess dreaming is just one of the great mysteries of life. I have always wondered the same thing, and it makes me think that perhaps, our existence when we are awake may not be all there is in the world, and that our unconscious is just as real, if not more real, and perhaps much bigger too.
@EmeraldxFairy I am one of those people that believe what you said too. If we can experience other "realities" or "worlds" to live in, by simply sleeping and waking up..It seems quite possible that there are even more worlds for our consciousness to explore or visit. Being awake or asleep may just be the tip of the iceberg! : )
