It's from Adrianna Lecouvreur by Cilea. A.L. was a (real) famous French Actress who (in the opera) is poisoned by a romantic rival. This is her ode to the art that she loves of whom she is the humble servant.

I would point out that her first words mean "Look. I am hardly breathing", so it should be REALLY SOFT!!
