We had this guy who slept with his M-16. This was Stateside, mind you. And he had this key ring with like, a hundred keys and he swore he knew where each. one. went..... And he knew other things, too... but if he'd told us, he'd have to kill us... and he wasn't kidding...
@Krocotto i slept with my M-16. I slept with a M-249 SAW... I of course was in the field and downrange but it's not totally uncommon. My SAW's name was Charlene and my 16 was Chami'qua... long story... i also kjnew people with very big key rings and all that... over compensation is all that is... lol.. the military doesn't find us like this......
I love this show too. The episodes with Henry Blake and Trapper John those were the best episodes. One thing I have noticed while watch M*A*S*H on television. Some times the networks would cut certain scenes out. So am I the only one who ever noticed that?
Flagg had a lot of good scenes. It's too bad they stopped using the character in the show's later years.
As for my favorite MASH scene (since nobody asked), it's a tie: When the gang watches the home movie of Frank's wedding and the sermon about alcoholism (I love Hawkeye's "Sound! Where's the sound?" and "We saw this." lines).
This is funny, but my favorite is the earlier episode where Flagg and Trapper's friend Vinny (who works for a competing intelligence agency in the US government) try to outdo each other in order to make a big score before Congress makes it appropriations for the year. Hawkeye and Trapper end up manipulating Frank's files so that Flagg thinks that Frank is a communist and Vinny thinks that Frank is a fascist. It has some classic lines and scenes.:-)

My favorite episode with him was when he broke his leg "being like the wind" when he jumped out of Potter's window.
I love BJ's subtle humor when matched with Hawkeye's upfront jokes.
