It is rare to see a performer EXCEEDING his instrument. There were accounts of Paganini doing this on the violin, and Rachmaninoff as The Wind Off the Russian Steppes doing this on the piano. @JamSessions1 Гармонь is the instrument he's playing, a type of accordion. The song title is usually translated The Lonely Accordion.

What ever he is playing in the former USSR and Eastern Europe usually called "BAYAN", In the West they call all that family of button instruments "button accordion". But in Russia smaller versions of it (more like bondoneon) called "harmon'", "harmoshka". And this particular song calls by name that "harmon", "harmoshka", not "bayan."

But you are right - "harmonica" is a small thing played by Dilan and Gillan.
