It's kinda cool how Alice Cooper was emulating the style and antics of Iggy Pop and Stiv Bators during this period! I got to see him the first time on this tour.
Great upload and performance. Thanks a lot! Love the 'DaDa', 'Special Forces' and 'Zipper Catches Skin' era, ver underrated period of Alice Cooper's career.
Could you upload in this good quality, 'Who Do We Think We Are' as well, from the same place?
i know Alice was thin but man he looks on the brink of death here :( so happy he got outta that dark hole and he is still with us, your the man Coop! :) x
great stuff...first time I saw him was in 81...on this tour...been a fan since 1973! Love it...his was the first rock music I'd ever heard...thanks Alice!

i have been a fan asince brith. That was 1992. I know nearly everything about alice. But i know nothing about the special forces era. Why did he do it. you know the huge change in his look?
He wanted to change the character and try a new concept for Alice.
Also, in the late 70's, he was better known for his ballads than for the rest of his music, so with the new decade he made the character a little rougher, but still as fun as always !!!
Yeah he was not really considered a real rocker anymore because of his ballads (although they were huge hits).
Alice (the character) had become too sweet, so he had to look for a new direction to take, and he didn't find the right one until 1986 when he came back with his old horror/shocking concept of the early 70's. Then, the real Alice Cooper was back !
But the Special Forces era is not that bad, it's just different. I love those albums too. They're part of the Cooper myth
This is different than when he played this song at all his other performances these days, was it originally written like that and then modified over the years?
I love the whole Flush the Fashion, Special Forces, Zipper, DaDa era. Saw him on the Special Forces tour in Toronto...one of the best shows I've ever seen.

This version sounds scarier than the video, and more dramatic.

I don't think there's very much. Aside from this I've only seen a couple of live performances and interviews in not so great quality.
