  • crazy..no way it went through that

  • not impressed... all I have seen this thing do is go on very flat pavement and some mud... where is it's ability ti go over rocks and logs and traverse off road

  • I wonder how well it can work with that short-travel suspension. I'd think a soft suspension would be necessary to reduce loading on the tracks at high speed on pavement and such. Though the pneumatic-looking rubber tires might help that.

Interesting vehicle. I'd love to see how some of these things work.

  • I LOVE the Torvec truck! I want one of thease for my daily driver so bad. Love tracked vehicles. I read that this thing will do 60 mph.

  • That noise sounds like a serpentine belt. It did have an underpowered diesel with an automatic, that's what is in the video. it has since been upgraded to a Ford chassis with their turbo v6 and automatic, much faster. The Ford version is in the Air Force FTV video.

  • its probably got torvec's IVT gearbox - i.e. there are no gears, just continous change in ratio. so thats why the engine sounds the same loadness despite the change in speed, as it revs at the same speed.

  • Nice concept, seems a bit underpowered though...

Prob has autom. gearbox as well...

  • I keep waiting for something to happen.
