The design has a few flaws apart from those mentioned by TheIdliSambar.

-Stability - when the train takes high speed turns the connector may fall.

-Acceleration - would be very harsh if the train is short.

In all honesty though, I'm jealous I never thought of it! :p

Pretty neat. Except the passengers who have to get-off will have to walk all the way to the compartment that has the connector cabin above it. And what if there are more number of passengers to a destination than the number a connector cabin can contain.? more infrastructure will need to get planned out for such cases. But this is neat..
