  • So glad you're doing this. I have the same condition. I'm 53, I had 3 eye surgeries when I was 6,7,and 9 yrs old. At the Lahey Clinic in Lowell MA. Similary, in my mid forties, something in my vision "popped", and I saw in 3-d, (binocular) vision.

As you, I was told I couldn't see out of both eyes at the same time. Since, however I've learned to do it. The string exercises help alot. Thanks!

  • Thanks.

  • I had a lazy eye as a child, and even after the surgery, my eyes have never worked together. I'm 22 now and I'm beginning Vision Therapy tomorrow. My goal is to get my eyes to work together and gain stereopsis (3d vision), like Sue Barry did.

  • @jbonna I pretty much have the same problem. Just wondering, do you have 20/20 vision in both eyes, or are they different in each. For example, I am -4:00 in my left eye and -10:00 in my right.

  • Yes there is, see a Developmental Optometrist. 20/20 is only 5 per cent of vision. The remaining 95 per cent is rarely tested. I worked as a Vision Therapist for 10 yrs with tons of people with various visual anomolies WITH GREAT SUCCESS!!!
