@spearingdafishies I can't remember the pole spear brand or the tip. It might have been a JBL. It was a super heavy loaner spear. Slow through the water. I highly suggest the new Riffe carbon pole spear. They're UNREAL.

@surferDude636 The spear looks like a normal tip! the string is for when the dolphin runs after you spear them you dont wanna lose your pole spear, some of the dolphin with take your spear.

Amberjacks get much bigger than horse-eyes, though both can get to be pretty good sized.

what barb have in the spike of your pole spear? I´m doing one and I only have a problem with the spike barb to prevent the fish scape.

I used to live north shore, been spear fishing in Maui and off Lanai and I know what you mean. The fish have been so killed off there. Ulua in Bahamas are trash fish.

@cybiria2000 Nope, not in a fish sanctuary. In a deep crack of the ocean in the bahamas. No spear guns allowed. No one EVER dives where we were so they weren't used to seeing us in the water. Lots of sharks though.

It was an ice pick tip spear, but the tip was jammed. That's why I grabbed the end. The bahamas section of the video was shot in the tongue of the ocean or very near to it. Thanks for the comments guys.
