@melnnix Phoenix is an imbalanced character in that she allows a player of lower skill to compete against and beat players of greater skill. At least Wolverine/Akuma is a form of team synergy which I believe is in the spirit of the game. Phoenix on the other hand is a single character who can reliably OCV an entire team in the space of one X-factor.

Just watch Evo, how many times did dark phoenix save Viscant when he was being completely outclassed?

And because of phoenix's health shes not really "reliable" to do it.Its a coin flip since she can be taken down in 1 combo ( although xfactor makes her extremely fast and hard to catch ) but even in this vid, if that guy had xfactor and charging star > xfactor > charging star, she would have been done, wesker would have not been because of his tank health ( i dont believe so atleast).

When dealing with Dark Phoenix, it's a game of chance. Dodge the best you can, and try to hyper the fuck outta her. Usually that doesn't work, but on some occasions, it works very well. That's also the reason I wish Omega Red was in MvC 3. He had an attack that could drain the other teams Hyper bar and add to his own. Perfect for dealing with Dark Faggot.

@Grimmomega well, if you have no xfactor and no long range supers or supers with invincibility startups such as genmu-zero, you're pretty much fucked. Im still wondering WHAT WERE THEY FUCKING THINKING. To add some fucking gay combination such as enormous amounts of HOMING projectiles + scrubby x-factor on the same game. And btw her super can pretty almost OHKO low health chars if they dont block (and pass thru a lot of others supers. Worst of all if you have no super meter you also fucked.

Side team air combo will remove one meter from enemy. But dow TAC still adds one metter, so its gonna be less annoying. Also they gonna slightly nerf this ginger bitch by allowing her to do one single action per jump.

The scrubs gonna cry a river, but then again find another scrubby shit to rely on.

@melnnix People like the game it's just that characters like Sentinel, Wolverine, and Phoenix can use Day 1 combos all day and get more damage than other characters get from advanced combos. I don't see why people complain about Dante though, he's the exact opposite of Phoenix/Logan. His normals are slow, his Air "Trick" always teleports him to the same spot, and he doesn't get a lot of damage unless you know what the hell you're doing.

@AntiSass It doesn't matter that Sentinel's combo is easy, he is big and slow. Yeah if you get hit by that hammer kick low you know your guy is dead, but he is extremely slow and if he misses that kick you can punish him bad for that. Sentinels are hard to face for novice players due to his keep-away and combo but if you are decent you can rush him down and give him a beating.
