@leela194 that seat is on the airbus A340 500, which now fly routes from dubai to new zealand and Australia.They also fly their airbus A380 there, and on the A380, there are these seats, and showers for first class. On most emirates international flights, first class costs 12- 14,000 dollars and business costs around 8,000 dolars

actually the business class and 2nd class seats pay the bills for the airlines. first class seats waste valuable space on aircraft where more rate payers could sit on a plane. just like 3rd class immigrant passengers and mail on passenger ships made the money at one time. the greater numbers of fares not the price of the fares is the bottom line.--------------the concordes never broke even, they were kept flying because of prestige.

I am a Skywards Gold member and have 180,000 plus miles on Emirates. I have flew in all three classes and can say without reservation, it is bar none the best Airline I have ever flew with. What a first class cabin looks like these days? I disagree with that! You will only find First Class like this on Emirates. Factually, Emirates Business class is better than most Carriers First Class. Free Limo to and from the Airport and a free 5 star hotel room at your destination. Why fly another Airline?
