  • I really like watching Family Fortunes, but only the Les Dennis ones. x

  • This is the best version of the theme tune and opening titles, all in one.

  • I bet the Bye family feel like a bunch of tits after dancing like that on national TV!

  • @m44kts hahaha yea i think that too but i think all the familys who went on the show were told to do a little dance

  • i dont care what anyone says this was the BEST when it was hosted by bob monkhouse!

  • Now whenever Challenge show these episodes, they start about halfway through these titles :(

Pity, coz I think these are good!

  • ITV's Obsession with everything "Celebrity" has ruined what was once a great show.

  • why do they all act like proper freaks at the start?

  • What mongs.

  • i was gutted he didnt do his mavis riley impression

  • does mr babbage (ff board) uses blinkers or leds?

  • @WhiskasIII

    LEDS

  • @WhiskasIII some used LEDs, some used dot matrixes.

  • Does anyone have the theme before this? Same tune, different instruments.

  • is that all they did in 1993 clap in the intro... thankyou

  • The old Family Fortunes (Les Dennis) was 100% better than the today Family Fortunes, Vernon Kay was a complete rubbish.

  • @RowanAthikson "was a complete rubbish"...

No, you'll find your a complete rubbish.

  • @Rydo182 Such an eloquent and polite attitude towards others that have different opinions from you . . .

  • Apparently this theme has LEs playing sax unless that's just a rumour....

  • Where did you hear about this? Brad

  • This is indeed a rumour. The sax player was Chris (Snake) Davis.

  • Thanks for the correction.

  • That's 100% true.

  • I can OFFICIALLY confirm that as absolute FACT! Recorded in Suffolk.

  • Just to correct you It was recorded at Central TV studios, Nottingham. I know because I was the musical director and I wrote the theme.

  • Typical early 90s cheesy jazzy music!

  • this was shown in 1993

  • Thanks BowenSBOW you're a legend!

  • Hi r3trojay

When was this Family Fortunes first shown?

  • 1979 or 1980 with BOB monk house!

83: max Bygrave come along and

    85 -87 nothing

les come back with it in 1987!

  • Here's the hosting order:

    1980-1983: Bob Monkhouse

    1983-1985: Max Bygraves

    1987-2002: Les Dennis

    2002-2003: Andrew Collins

    2006-: Vernon Kay.

    Everyone got it?

  • Bob Monkhouse only hosted until 1983?! Wow, I can vividly remember him on it yet I'd only be 3 years old by the time he stepped down!! My memory must be awesome!

Now, where did I put my keys?...

  • I do have breif memories of the Max Bygraves era

  • 2006 is not familty fortunes is all star family fortunes get it in to your thick head

  • Close enough.

  • This intro is better than the 2006 version of Family Fortunes!

  • not bad intro not the best of the 90's
