Deep subject matter like the Disintegration album often times requires an altered state of mood to get to the root feelings of things...and this album is one of the cure's most transcendent of all.
I was backpacking through Asia when this album came out. Got the cassette and would listen to it over and over while watching the scenery pass by mile after mile from the window of a bus or train. Whenever I hear this music it takes me back to that magical time in my life. Love The Cure, love Robert Smith. In this performance he gives a toned down performance, and it's still amazing! He still hadn't gained a lot of weight and was looking quite handsome, especially without all the lipstick.
i love how in the live performances of the song he uses different lyrics sometimes.. its great how it alwys works no matter what this song will always be amazeing no matter how he sets the mood with the lyrics.

Esse foi com certeza um dos bons momentos da minha vida.
Go and find a version from 1989-1991 way better than this one.
