The reason the hyperbolic time chamber gets me is the fact that it wasn't used until AFTER the androids came. Trunks gave them all THREE YEARS to train, and they never used the time chamber! You would think at least Piccolo would be smart enough to suggest that. Even if they didn't immediately think of it, they again had 3 years to realize they could use it. And since there was no psychological reason anyone went SS2, they could all have done it and owned the androids to bits, b4 Cell even came!

Back on the subject of DBZ, Nibakun may be right, but in this case I don't mind. I think Broly adds to the series. What I actually do dislike is the overused fusion, and the hyperbolic time chamber.

@therambo220 Isn't practically everyone voiced by a female in Japan? Get Tenkaichi 2 and turn on Japanese voices. Go to all the kids, then go to Bardock and Frieza. Actually, Frieza sounds like an actual guy. I remember when I was little and watched the show, I thought Frieza was a chick. Now I like Frieza's voice, because it just makes him seem more evil and creepy.

Of course when we count all DBZ reached, because of the ridiculization of the Super Saiyan transformation to the point a couple of kids could use it as their plaything, Toei decided MAKE UP a story of someone who could be described as a "Legendary" Super Saiyan, but as I said, its not part of the true story canonicity.

In Toriyama's ORIGNAL script, Goku was the one and only Super Saiyan (the LEGENDARY Super Saiyan).

I meant in Toriyama's ORIGINAL ending. He originally wanted to end the story with the Frieza Saga (Goku becoming the one and ONLY Super Saiyan that appears once every 1,000 years and killing Frieza)...but because for Shounen Jump (the magazine that published the manga) Dragonball was still a "goldmine", they preasured Toriyama to drag on the story (Cell & Majin sagas) and he HAD to make it so there wasn't only ONE Super Saiyan anymore (Goku). He had to make it so everyone could go SSJ too.

@Niibakun Actually the cell saga was pretty good and cell was a good villain and actually ending dbz with cell would have been better  why ? because since the beginning of dbz there was all this hype with gohan having all this power and in the end of cell he surpasses his father goku yea goku is dead but goku isnt complaining and he dies a hero and that scene when gohan does the Kamehameha and goku's spirit is right behind it was badass and in a way beautiful

You misunderstood. When I said "built up" I meant one of the fist serie's great mysteries was Goku's origin (why did he had a tail or why did he transformed into an ape) and then, on the Vegeta/Frieza sagas, all questions were answered, both his origins and his race's great struggle against the ultimate tyrant were fully explained, and he finally awakened as the legendary warrior who appears once every 1000 years, to avenge everyone.

All sagas after that, where just one HUGE drag.

Good thing they ended the game here. Compared with the rest of the story, the Majin Saga sucks HARD.

DBZ was good and all until they decided transformed it into a highschool drama with kids who had their first transformation into Super Saiyan, by training with their mamas. Toriyama blew it HARD on the Majin Saga because:

1) He was TIRED and sick that they kept pushing him to continue the story when he had intended to end it a LONG time ago.

2) He was madly in love with Gohan.

I "enjoyed" (urgh) all of DBZ, but...I swear, everytime I re-watch the epicness that the whole Saiyan VS Frieza conflict, and how amazing the final battle between Goku & Frieza was, where he carried the hopes of all the Saiyans who had been killed by Frieza (including his father & Vegeta, who also pleaded Goku to beat Frieza)....and then compare it with the other 2 sagas...well...their plots where almost non-existant...

well the cell saga and the buu saga wasn't that bad. there were alot of epic battles like piccolo vs cell and gotenks vs buu and goku vs majin vegeta. the thing that killed dbz was the minor saga like garlic jr i have no fucking idea what was going on the whole saga

Well Garlick Jr & Other World Tournament Sagas were filler (and stupid at that) so I don't even count them.

But still, although all of the DBZ was "acceptable" on a "basic level", only the Frieza Saga was WORTHY of what the first series had built up as the best adventure/action series of all.

The Cell & Majin Sagas were just what Toriyama "managed to make up" in order to drag on the story so people could have a few more years of DBZ...they weren't PLANED as part of DBZ's original plot.

well the android saga was plain awesomeness. but the cell saga was kinda killing it. but the fights in buu saga like gotenks vs buu can only be matched by frieza vs goku, goku vs vegeta, piccolo vs frieza, piccolo vs android 17, and piccolo vs cell. you see, only fights when both fighter are evenly powered are epic.
