this is such an awesome product-- NBC turned out some great family gems back in the day. Debbie Allen should have gotten a series and a whole tv movie package outta this project. Beautifully shot (mostly in Pasadena and on the Warner's backlot), expertly scored, refreshing portrayal of black America (if not idealic-- I like this Disney version of Alabama in the 50's much more than the real deal). One of those very rare convergences in television of talent; performers and technicians alike.

I agree, I always felt that way too, I wonder how he took the deah of Michael, they were really close. This movie wasn't my fave but it had it's moments...like this. Brandon should get back into the spotlight, he was cool.

They were indeed very close..its also cool that the other casts from "Moonwalker" got in touch with him after Michael's death. Michael still bringing people together. eeeh....i dunnooo. I'm so used to the original Hayley Mills Pollyanna. I loved that movie since I was 3 years old; this is bizarre to watch. I don't really like it (it's strange for me to watch). Maybe if I watch it a few times over the next year I'll get used to it, but at the moment, my mind and emotions are just "what?"

This was my favorite movie when I was a kid! I think I watched it every day one summer, and then we had to give the VHS tape back to the friends that we borrowed it from.
