why are so many people confused about Christianity some dif and say it is a contradicting belief because of the word they follow some say their belief is right and christianity is wrong i mean why is there so much deception if christianity is so true

repent and believe is referring to those who thought Jesus was not the real messiah,they need to repent of there unbelief,after he saves us and make us born again we know those sins that we commit are what put him in the cross which leads to godly sorrow,2Corinthians7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret,but worldly sorrow brings death.he will do what we cannot Philippians1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it out

Nice speech! However the terminology might creates a bit of confusion...I've noticed that in English language term "pride" is used almost only in a negative context.

While for example in Serbian term pride("ponos") is pretty broad, it ranges from completely positive feeling such as feeling proud of yourself when you do something noble, or being proud of your brother/sister/friend etc...to completely negative feelings such as insolent defiance and a refusal of forgiveness for small mistakes.

...that being said I think that pride can be actually very positive and very important thing, but of course only in its positive meanings...

So yep, that's why I think that terminology can create some confusion sometimes...but the overall point is clear :)

You study the scriptures and you will see for yourself what God wants you to do. We need to keep reading the Word of God and stop letting preachers feed us false doctrines. Keep all the commandments of God including the 4th Commandment. Sunday worship was also made up by a wanna be God. That person being Emperor Constantine in 312 A.D. He transferred his power over to the Pope who now claim Himself to be God on earth.

- 1. Why was this part of the Law not repeated as a command in the New Testament, especially to Gentiles (Acts 15 - Jerusalem Council)?

- 2. Why did Early Church theologians like Justin Martyr write in 155 AD, "Sunday is the day upon which we all hold our communion and assembly" in commemoration of the Resurrection (First Apology, see Chapter LXVII for this in full) if Constantine made this up in 312 AD?

@djsterf He didn't make it up per say, because pagans were worshiping on Sunday from the beginning of time. He declared it then soon later enforced it on the people. Even if that Justin Martyr statement is true, it doesn't mean anything. The Sabbath wasn't needed to be repeated. Paul and the gentiles kept the Sabbath (Acts 17:1-2/ Acts 13:42-45). The Sabbath was never changed to sunday. Sunday was never worshiped on in the bible. The Sabbath still stands and we are to obey it.

A tip for new believers, read the four gospels, Matthew - Mark - Luke - John. It will give you a good base to stand on when you hear the gospel preached, seeing if the preacher is making his own gospel or preaching the real gospel.
