...someone clicked dislike. Even if someone don't like the style of music, it's a great song with great musicians. This should be valued. A dislike is pretty unfair!
Outstanding song, PG is just one of the best!! Mike Lindup's vocals are as amazing as they were back in the 80's. These artists just keep getting better, if that is possible??? I also wish that the original Level 42 Band would group together again, but than again I also pray for world peace!!!
I finally bought the album a few weeks ago and one thing that jumped out at me was how FANTASTIC the production is compared to most of the overcompressed rubbish that gets released these days.
Retroglide was good, but THIS sounds like Level 42 to me. I don't mean to say it's derivative: P. Gould's alblum stands on it's own. It's just got this tremendous sound, that's developed over the years but still has the same DNA as the band I've loved for near 30 years. With Mike Lindup, Boon, and Wally Badarou on the ablum as well, how can it be anything less.
Just as everybody said here Level42 2band real band members is not the same without them i did know phil could sing like that I know he sang back ground with the group but singing solo and back vocal get down brother that's alright keep on jammn phil smooth groove
I'm a massive LFT fan and this is the first time I've heard this, shame on me, it's f**king fantastic. I just can't stop listening to it. It's true Level 42 never were the same after Phil and Boon left, I saw an interview with Mark King somwhere on You Tube and he more or less said the same. Maybe I'm just remembering my teenage 80's with rose coloured specs?
met mike lindup about 12years ago going to ireland frm holyhead n,wales on ferry, level 42 i loved, asked him would he ever return to level 42, his reply doubt it very much, low and behold 2010 he.s back in the line up, think i was the only one on the whole ferry who recognised him, such a nice guy to talk to and his partner then....

@MrJiveturkey88 Someone said this song features Lindup's voice. I can't confirm or not, but it sounds amazing nevertheless.

Level 42 was never quite the same once Phil and Boone left.
King and Lindup were perfect when backed by them.

Very nice song. It would be even better if Mark king played the bass line
beckenbauers 1 year ago
@beckenbauers I don't think it would, actually. It would probably have more slapping in it, which I think would hurt more than help.

If PG was still with Level 42, they'd be a lot more quality tunes like this.

Such a sweet grove. Phil was always underrated as a songwriter and drummer back in the day.

Great song.
Phil Gould or Al Slavik? This is the question.
Either the versions are beautiful.
