Really good live stuff, the only complaint I have is that the drummer was everywhere in terms of speed. He has to stay in the pocket a little bit better. Dont get me wrong though he is better then me by a mile. I just found him going wayyyyy to fast.

Timing is the drummer's fault, and he's not the best drummer. However the quality of the song has nothing to do with their ability, if you knew anything you would know that concerts in large arenas, especially outdoors, have horrible quality. And emo? I'm sorry but this band is probably the furthest from that. And also, men with a contralto vocal range is pretty hard to find, and can be taken as golden, for example Michael Jackson's voice. So go listen to whatever other crap you listen to.

a repeatative bass line is called a hook, you need the hook to draw the listener in and then use your fills and so on to spize it up. Most songs use this dirrection, sometimes the keys play the hook some time the guitar.

Some bassists dont play with a pick because they dont know how. Every player wants to learn both skills, dont be so one tracked

The material the drummer plays doesn't always represent the quality of the drummer. I think he is more skilled than this song lets on, especially since he is so fluid in what he plays. All his taps and accents are at the appropriate heights considering where they are playing. they play much faster live. their singer/guitarist gets nervous alot when they play live so he usually tries to play really fast at big concerts to get it over with. go watch some of their private events(like if they played on fuse or something) and they usually play normally.

I see alot, i mean ALOT of people saying that they didnt liek this band before this song. Where as im different, i was a huge Carnavas fan and im really excited about Swoon, and when i heard this song i was kind of disappointed. I was hoping for it to be an instant hit, at least in my mind, the same way Lazy Eye was.
