  • can you tell me a little more about frederick the second of sicily.

My name is Frederik Lombardo, and I'm sicilian. Maybe my name is from him

  • "and than it will go to the bottom of the ocean" the Don. Nice ending man.

  • Good try (the English translation, I mean)! Too bad no painted carts, but you can't have everything. The oranges are there, at least. But this is fabulous in both its English and Italian versions.

  • l'inglese Alitalia-style mi ha ferita alle orecchie, ma il video è amabile. Vado a visionare la versione in italiano xD

  • this is just too creative and precious.... Molto Buono.... many thumbs up. And I love the accent. Very nice work.

  • pictures are nice but accent is too thick. Can't understand

  • Ahi es donde nacio la mafia no ? esos parasitos asesinos...

  • wtf

  • VERY clever script. Fantastic visuals and music. Congratulations.

  • I can't understand any of this. I wish this was in Italian!

  • @madfreaky

    p.s. pure l'inglese è discreto!

  • really really cool

  • Hard to understand anything that's being said alas...

    he he.

Bravi..si capisce che mi e' piaciuto??

    ciao,

    Sandra

  • this video is very messaging

  • What's the name of the music?

  • "Tarantella missinisa" (tarantella from Messina, the city where I was born.)

On closing credits it's "Vitti 'na crozza", a traditional song.

  • Wonderful!!!!:)

  • molto originale

  • 1:30 who was that?

  • the Straits of Messina bridge?

  • Very cool. I'm visiting Sicily in two more weeks!

  • No need to hurt yourself!

The instrument is a software synth, generating sine waves. I made the piano player actually play on a MIDI USB keyboard connected to the sequencer. I tried different instruments on the melody, and this was the best choice.

  • Great work, I have red a ton of books on Sicily, this should be fun for kids to,thank you.

  • subtitles would be cool

  • I thougth about it, but the idea behind this video is that there's so much to say, in such a short time, that images and names overflow and you can't help missing something.

But subtitles would be impossible to read without losing some pictures, and vice versa.

  • That was awesome...

  • peoples in sicily have greek origin,

they are ancestors of the spartans

  • It is true, Sicilians are descendant of the Peloponnese Greeks, which were Spartans.

  • Sicilians have heritage of almost every race, it was invaded so many times everyone wanted it but they could never have it ;)

  • Ma che cozzo???Check out my page guys, its new but check it out!

  • i dont know what idiot gave you 2 thumbs down but its true we have been invaded by the greek the arabs the vikings or whatever they called, and also people from albania came 500 years ago to sicilia so its true that its from so many races one

  • Thanks, I'm glad SOMEONE on youtube knows a thing or two about history :)

  • Albanians?

    source.

    Albanians NEVER invaded.

  • Comment removed

  • Albanians were carried by Arabs from Caucasus to Sicily in order to populate their part of the island and have them as Mercenaries. Then the Byzantines moved them to modern Albania... unfortunately, for some.

  • can only make out certain words

  • great job

  • bravi!!!

    niente male davvero.. '-)

mancano giusto i vespri (l'unica rivolta degna di nota che mi ricordi..),

magari in una versione in siciliano...

  • mi ripeto.. ironici e bravi....two times compliments

  • Truly awesome!!!!!!!! Auguri.
