I recently picked up a sog trident tanto at an army navy. I live in new York. It was 60$ and it's awesome. It has a 4 1/2 inch blade and it has a midnight finish. It's also lightning fast to open and extremely sharp!

SOG Trident is my favorite, just wish they did away with the safety with all the SOG knives, save for one like the Bi-Polar and Twitch/Twitch XL models. The whole idea for having a spring assisted knife is for it to come out fast, and having trouble engaging and closing the safety causes problems.

try holding it at a different angle then you have been, u probably have to back the relief edge up on it before you hold it at a higher angle

Nice collection. I use my SOG Flash 2 everyday. I love my Twitch as well. Next one I want to pick up is the Tac Auto. SOG makes some outstanding knives.

@rwpock Almost all assisted opening blades do have just a little side to side movement. None of these are crazy loose. Check your pivot screw, but you can't tigten too tight or it wont open properly.

@rwpock If you want a good assisted knife with no wiggle in it, pick up a Benchmade HK Nitrous Blitz. They're not too terribly expensive, you can find them between 75 and 85$ and they have no wiggle in them whatsoever. I carried one for about 2.5 years, loved it. 154CM blade, Titanium liners, weight right at 2.4 ounces with a 3.5 inch blade.

the twitch is hit or miss i got mine today and its horrid the blade has tons of play it wont tighten up even if i use the screw, i worked with it for over an hour its going back and im just gonna get a leatherman love your vids keep it up!

U have to put the compressor off from your camera.. cuz when u flick open a knife it gives a hard CLICK and your camera compensates with lowering the volume.. and you're sometimes hard to hear ;)

I really love the Trident. It's a great edc with a decent steel and nearly perfect ergonomics. In short, it just feels good in the hand and it's more than capable for just about any daily cutting task. My only gripe is the groove in the handle which, aside from looking kinda cool, is basically useless unless you're cutting fishing line.

The Twitch 2 is soooo sick. I can throw it with some good accuracy. It get's worked hard and still works very well as long as you keep it sharp and somewhat clean.
