I'm Egyptian and I know a lot of Egyptians who also know a lot of gays/lesbians that do live in Egypt! And I dont find them causing anyone any kind of discomfort. I mean they seem as normal as anyone else :S So I hope those foreign TV channels or reporters or whatever stop showing only moron's point of view because I'm sure not all people that they interviewed thought like the idiot that said "there are no gays in Egypt" he is probably a guy himself!

I do undeerstand that people dont want it advertised or televisionized for the fear of their children watching it. But homosexuals are not raping nor are they causing deaths or harming anyone that doesn't consent to homosexual relations. Therefore it should not be punishable. Heres my opinion/experience... first off this movie isnt a representation of homosexuality it touches more on drug use and corruption. it is not fair to say that drugs causes homosexuality. Now u also cant say there arent gay people in Egypt. I'm Egyptian and Bi. So I do exist thank u very much.

I lived in Egypt for a year and I'm going back there, and from personal experience, there are most definitely gays in Egypt. Perhaps there is no "gay lifestyle" in the western sense, but that doesn't much.

yes it is indeed. if you log on to gay dating sites such as manjam, you will see a whole bunch of them flooded the entire search results and with exception of those discreet gays outside the manjam who don't own a profile. since Arab countries have a strong religious influence therefore internet meeting is the only option for them. however, i can say the numbers are very overwhelming large. this homosexual trend will keep on going regardless of social classes. the truth always hurts.
