  • How to enable motion blur and bloom ): noob here

  • 720p is magic

  • how i configurate a very notable motion blur?

  • u get the same thing putting this on console: mat_motion_blur_strength 10

  • @Photoping No, you don't...

  • Frame Blending is a wee bit sloppy...I prefer ReelSmart for after recording motion blur.

  • @GamingPrower ReelSmart is a wee bit sloppy...I prefer Frame Blending for after recording motion blur.

  • @Berniebud For some reason I can never get a nice consistency with frame blending. With that said, I have found MVTools motion blur has become my favorite option so far. Also more practical for whenever you can't take advantage of high FPS recording tools.

  • Dat ugly field of view

  • motion blur is awesome ^_^

  • hey nice vid. how did you take out the hud and other suff on screen. like HP and suff?

  • lol no :P it's 80 +

  • :downs:

  • you are officially declared mentally retarded and/or troll.

  • host_framerate 300 am I right? And in vegas/premiere what was the final output FPS? 25 or 30?

  • I used 25 in Vegas

  • Motion blur looks great for a PC w/ good graphics specs, sort of like anti-aliasing.

It works really well in L4D and gives a realistic feel to the action. It also makes freezecam shots funnier :D

  • Notion blur dont work for me =(

  • how did u do that?

  • thanks much!

  • did you use the source recorder? and if so did you use host_framerate 250 or so?

  • Yeah, spot on.

  • alright thanks!

  • i have a question...when i did use a high framerate using Host_framerate, the video played back slowly as if in slow motion. Do you know how to get it to play back normally? thanks.

  • lagarith lossless video codec

  • This is normal, it will seem slow but it is because it is set to record at 250 frames per second. Set it lower if you are concerned about how long it takes.

  • nevermind i used a different codec and it worked...another thing...what codec did you use?

  • LOL the Heavy looks funny xD

  • looks incredible

  • You take some high fps footage and use render as to output to WMV.

Changing to a lower framerate then the source footage makes the frames blend together giving the appearance of motion blur.

  • So that's what motion blur looks like with a good FPS. At a n average of 15-27 FPS you can really see any motion blur.

  • Nah, mate. The motion blur was done in Sony Vegas, I would of used in game motion blur if I could.

  • Ahhh, I see. Thanks for the clarification.
