Optimized Hero ROM on the G1

It is quite smood for a g1 but it isn't anywhere near smooder than a htc hero, ur phone is running at 528mhz!! My hero is running at 710mhz!! thats nearly a 200mhz difference, so the hero is definitely smooder. : )

finally got a recent root access to my white G1...after weeks of trying to figure everything out through posts, forums,Utube and of course my personal researches...finalyl, got Amon Ra recovery image, partitioned my SD and at this moment, the phone is flashing a hero ROM...lol but that looks soo sweeettt...

it destroys ur sd card faster!! and it doesnt even help much compared to jacxhero 1.6!!!! i use jacxhero 1.6 and my rom runs same smoothness and this videos! without swapper!

it displays some flash content. its only flash 8 or 9 currently. adobe will release flash 10 for android by oct.

idk could be. we will just see whatever comes in the donut update and maybe eclair.

the g1 is soon becoming obsolete because of the lack of needed hardware compared tohtc hero and htc magic. (not mytouch..mytouch is a little different in hardware than magic)

its been rumored that the donut update will be the last update for the g1maybe elcair. but the devs at XDA probably will cook up some new roms from upcoming updates

basically to answer ur q. i dont think flash 10 will come but then again...donut update supposed to be released in oct. which is the same time flash 10 will released for android. just cross your fingers. right now i have a hero rom running on my g1 with partial flash content.

yes. you are runnign your phone harder when overclocking,but its been proven that under clocking to 383mhz wi make hero run smoother on g1.

if you have the hero rom running how will you get the google rom back. I want to root my phone but im scared that if i get the hero rom on how will i switch back to my original android rom. i have a mytouch 3g.

It depends if you want to unroot the phone to go to original or if you want to keep it rooted you just download the cupcake update and restore the phone that way.

there are threads on how to brin your phone back to stock. and why would u want to root and then load up back to original? youll lose your root

I have a 8 GB class 6 card. If you search online, you will find them for about $20. Honestly, to get a good experience with any Hero rom, you don't want to use anything less!
