  • You have better luck if you just hold the pedal and wait for her to fire then pumping like an idiot.

  • I like the part at 2:01 where something scares him and he goes to hide under the truck for a minute.

  • Its a definitely 460, it has a 4 core radiator, that blocks too big to be a 351m-400.

  • is it for sale

  • Please do a cranking vid like this without shoes either barefoot or in socks, thanx so much in advance

  • what year is that truck

  • I also love it when u say your gonna pump the shit out of it!

  • I love your ford tow truck! mmm.. pump it baby.

  • I NEED TOWING ASSISTANCE

  • That's a 460 Big Block with a 4 barrel carb I think, I have a 1977 27 foot Ford E-350 motorhome with a souprd up 435 hp 460 with a 1050 cfm Holley 4 barrel carb on it and dual 4 inch Flowmaster exhausts on it as well as tuned Hooker header manifolds, You'd think I was trying out for the Talladega 500 if you heard that thing!! I can go 65 mph up steep mountain passes with no problems!!!

  • Your right on the 4 barrel, its a Holly. I remember being a kid and riding in it going to pick up cars and never once did it sound like it was straining to pull our haul. Recently someone broke a window out of it but there isnt anything to steal except an 8 track. Thanks for the comment !

  • My '77 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 460 is harder to start than that after it sits overnight in the summer!

  • MORE PUMPAGE!!!!

  • he must watch lots of davidsfarm

  • Cool vid man that was the last year ford made a real truk!!!!

  • That's cool, I had a 1973 f100

  • nice video. love the pumping and cranking :)

  • did u change the oil on that thing id hope so

  • This 460 runs again? Its a ford, she will run for ever with care

  • that's a super cooler radiator 4 core can because its round and so tall

  • i diddnt know that, thanks !

  • so how did daves farm fix this truck?

  • just by watching all of his how-to videos. I was able to learn and trouble shoot. I learned how to break a carb down and put it back together from watching his videos. So thanks to him she runs today !

  • glad to heare some positive feed back about daves farm sick of all the others cutting him down with this charge adn that charge aginst him most were never proven.

  • Ran great once you got it running.

  • That looks to be a 360 or a 390. I had A F350 around that same year. It had a trash box on it and it was a great truck. I sold it only because I need a bigger truck. That old beast never let me down.

  • i misread RUNS LIKE A BREAST

  • i mean a 454

  • my dad has a 91 u-haul with a 44. and it doesn't have the anoying tranni sound that the other uhauls do. its a beast.

  • How did Dave get it running for you?

  • just by watching all of his how-to videos. I was able to learn and trouble shoot. I learned how to break a carb down and put it back together from watching his videos. So thanks to him she runs today !

  • Thats awesome, I did a carb rebuild for the first time BEFORE watching his video and cought my engine on fire....

  • its true everything is bigger in texas

  • Very cool man!

  • yeah the 460s a fuckin pig....would like to see a video on the winch and stuff working...maybe even hook up to a car?

  • in the near future !

  • 460 sweet !

  • Nice sounds great!

  • OMG lol. The slipping belt when you rev it is a signature of my truck....never thought I'd here it anywhere else.

  • I've got the same problem on my Lincoln, but thats because the alternator is failing.

  • in a way David inspires us all!

  • Nice! love the engine sound. Music in my ears :)

  • thats a cool truck... does the tow still work?

  • we will find out, it was weak 10 years ago but she may still have it in her.

  • Pretty cool tow truck, it even has an 8 track deck, sweet.

  • What a BEAST, love the old sling wreckers.

  • thanks rick, like your videos !

  • Reminds me of the tow truck at the beginning of the original 1974 Gone in 60 Seconds.

  • Heh, thats funny cuz I'm watching this video while watching the old 74' gone in 60 seconds!

  • pretty cool man!! thanks!!

  • Stale gas? Anyways good cold start. How long was this pig sitting?

  • it hasnt started in about 6 weeks when this video was shot.

  • stale gas

  • built ford tough !

  • great vid, great truck

  • sounds like a 351 modified windsor

  • its bigger then a 351 i can garentee that

  • Modified Windsor? Those are two different engines, and I dont think that the Windsor was offered in the F series trucks until the 80s

  • Nope, the winsor series V8 first appeared in Ford trucks in 1969 in the form of the 302.

  • I know the 302 was offered that far back, I was referring the the 351W.

  • Oh, I see. In that case, 1982 was the first year for the 351 Windsor in Ford trucks.

  • ok my 79 bronco had a 351 modified widsor and i read on the net that, that paticuler motor was also in f-150s and also 78 broncos

  • That's the big ole 460 V8, good engines. Pretty rare you see automatic tow trucks from those years.

  • you forget red line

  • thats some serious professional pumpin' action you got goin' n there.

  • she likes it rough
