No. The touch panel is clear and sits on top of the LCD screen. You can find replacement LCDs on ebay for around 50 dollars.

lol yeah i own a computer store in iowa and when taking laptops apart i have to draw on paper and put sections where the screw go back or i will end up with a few strays here and there so yeah best to write down and section out the screws cuz it isnt like a desktop where u get 1 sections to 2 of screws good job!

I usually don't use the card to pry open notebooks or mobile phones, and my fingernails hut daily.

I'm working on the same exact netbook model but it has an HDD password. I need to get to the CMOS battery to remove it and reset the password. Is the CMOS battery located under the keyboard? I really need to get past this so I can format the drive and reinstall windows. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Did you know that your 3-part video tutorial is actually the "official" one the companies in Hong Kong use for "instructions"? I just got mine from China, and it had links to your videos. Great job! Oh, and if you're into modding, I can tell you that buying a Compact Flash card adapter and a fast CF card, plugging that into the Aspire One, will make it a TON faster! Modded mine with a 16GB CF card (essentially an SSD), so getting steady 30+mbps read and write times. :)

I also had the problem with the screws :) I put them in sections, but after the mod there was one screw left :)

Then I'm jealous - because I was one screw short on the bottom of the chassis. :-) I had to order a spare screw set for my AAO on ebay.
