part two !!! the canopy pops right off it's not glued or anything but there is a ball bearing in the canopy for weight, pull it out you won't need the extra weight anymore. hollow out the fuse behind the firewall and back where the wing is leave the center section that way you can pop the canopy right back on. put esc behind fire wall put micro reciever and wires infront of wing the rest I think you can figure out!!! IF NOT!! don't bother building one!!!
I get 15 minutes with a 9g motor, 5x3" prop and 360mAh LiPo at half to full throttle all the time. When you are gliding more 20+ minutes are realistic
I have the same setup except for the motor (9g, 5x3") and LipPo (Rhino 360mAh). I did - as you suggested in your question - glue a small firewall with hot glue and fix the motor on it. There are only little forces up to approx. 120g-150g on it. I will a video occasionally...
Nice vid, just ordered a fox and was wondering, how and what is a single aileron? Neever heard of, well I am still a newbie. Where did you put the servos? Thanks for the vid, was fun to watch!
You can control the roll with a single aileron, but it less efficient as having two. I use two on my Fox with a single servo and I will use a two servo setup for the next that I will build soon one to mix flaperons for better slow flying characteristics...
It's not that I can't afford another Fox, it's just that I have no idea were to get one. I got mine at RCX and I haven't seen ANY multiplex products at my local hobby store. Although, I might not convert it after all, it's too much work and I don't have any extra electronics lying around.
Great, thanks for sharing. My motor, ESC and prop frmo HC for the Fox will arrive next week! I have recently seen for the first time the single aileron solution. Do you feel any asymmetric behaviour while flying? Why not choosing a dual aileron/single servo solution? It doesn't add weigh (1 horn + 1 push rod)
That looks like fun. Just ordered plane & 10 gr motor from UH.Are you using either single or dual ailerons & what prop do you use? Is there a build log anywhere?
hi! excellent clip!!!! have a look at my video, maybe you can find some tecnical inspiration too. greetings from vienna!

You have inspired me to convert a Fox. Did you use a hot wire to cut open the rear of the fuselage? Any cutting tips?

How do you take of the canopy without breaking the plane? I have a Fox and I want to convert it to rc but I'm afraid of breaking it in the process.
