Rock Talk. Using hit songs In the ESL Classroom.

I have been using this in school and my Beginning/Foundation adult students love it. I think this is a great tool. She's talking a lot and demo-ing it. There isn't a Teacher's Book, so this is really helpful for the ESOL Teacher. Rock Talk is working either as a mid-day energizer or a morning starter. It creates fun and openness as well as opening their minds. Again, my students love it!!

hmmm, in the video, she seems to be doing most of the language output. I'm not sure I could "sell" the lesson and don't know if my students would "buy" it. It certainly seems like more of a supplemental aid. Good luck with this though, at least someone is thinking outside the box!

Rock Talk Was Designed as a supplemental tool, not core curriculum. The beauty of Rock Talk is that YOU don't have to sell the lesson. Jenny Redding does that for you on the CD. There's also a power point version available that works great.
