Once he went through that window, my opinion was changed, especially when I found out that the original creators from bioshock 1 are working on this title instead of the people who worked on bioshock 2

This is a cool idea but im a little confused, first off why is there a city in the sky? Rapture made sense but this does not and is the girl that uses tele Eleanor but all grown up? And i think the guy dancing was Ryan which means the theory that he used the vita chamber was correct! This does look very very very interesting CANT WAIT!

Of course, Ken has all rights to do so. But the problem is that lots of ppl loved bio1 because of Rapture. They thought bio is about rapture. Then second game was released, and that just confirmed to them and all other world that bio IS about rapture. So now this situation is quite silly. I think they should rename fst 2 games to smth like Bioshock rapure series, or dont use `Bioshock` word in Infinite.

@rrundzans About renaming the first two games to Rapture Series: look closely to the Bioshock 1 and 2 signs. Why? What's behind the letters? A city. The city of Rapture. Now, if you look closely to the Bioshock Infinite sign, there is no city. So, you get the idea that the game is not on the same place. Also, this game will also have "powers" (I dunno if you can call them plasmids), so it'll be very similiar to the other Bioshocks. I'm looking forward for more info about this game.

Whole problem in this stupid situation is that 2kMarine developed bioshock2. If it would have been decision of Ken, there wouldnt be another Bioshock with setting in Rapture. So if there wasnt bio2, noone would be so angry. Now, Ken is ready to tell the world about his new project, but he wants to use Bioshock in its name, because, in his opinion biochock is not about Rapture, and with that opinion he created fst game.

@keenanbarazi that does not define bioshock. Bioshock is great gameplay, complex and deep narrative, and changing the gaming universe as a whole. that sounds more like bioshock to me. What your describing isnt a main character, a main storyline, but parts of the game that made it good, but didnt define it. When i think bioshock i dont think big daddy or little sister, i think great story. without that, bioshock would be nothing.

I am just a little bit disappointed because I love the setting from the first games realy hardly. So the fake-rapture beginning made me hope it will be set in rapture again. But I think I am confused just because I cannot imagine how they will make up a gameplay like that in such a setting. But later trailers sure will reveal the whole awesomeness they put in that piece. And I hope there will be plasmids or at least a cool substitute :D

This will be great game for sure, but title must be renamed, IMO. Yes, Ken built Bioshock and Rapture around concept X (will not explain it here), but that does not mean that its fine to create entirely storywise+locationwise unrelated game on that concept and call it bioshock.You can mumbe as much as u want, but most people loved bioshocks because they loved Rapture,this exceptional underwater city, and think that there cant be bioshock without Rapture, echoes of Ryan,big daddys etcetc. Cheers.

im a little wary of 2K changing the story to a city in the clouds rather then a city in the sea. I'm not trying to dis the game at all, rather just showing my concern. Of course I showed the same concerns with Reach, Black Ops, and hell, even Brotherhood. 2K is a good gaming company so i'm sure given some time my concerns will dissipate.

well this biochock takes place in 1912 while bioshock 1 and 2 take place in the 1950 so the story line is a big prequel to the story so i dont see a way they can ruin that plus the robot with a human heart i belive its an early prototype to the big daddys that went a wall also this one takes place in an acctualy place realesed to the public called columbia hieghts unlike rapture where it was under gov watch thumps up if you think this is a preety good explanation

I don't mind a new place... I just hope the "new gameplay" will be much more complicated, because I really miss that System Shock 2 character system, which combined cRPG and FPS better, than anything I've played so far (and I have played a lot of cRPG/FPS games)... plus more freedom would be nice. I liked the Bioshock, but comparing it to SS2... Bioshock seems like a game for brain-sick people - too much simplicity :|

@IxUnseenXl well, and that you can asily escape from columbia, and that its hard to isolate it from the world considering that anyone that merely looks upwards can see it. So you will probably be lacking the entire feeling of isolation, which will also make the story very hard to buy, if they go for the same kind of "utopia" story as in Rapture.

Also, uhm, how are they going to explain plasmids? XD

Ken Levine has stated that 'BioShock' isn't about Rapture, it's about the concepts that were used in the world of Rapture, and they want to use the story concept and gameplay design for different worlds.

I think that they just saw that they would run out of material just using rapture so they switched it up...but for some reason they wanted to keep the name.

While the underwater timeline ended cuz rapture was destroyed, i guess they need to rehash the plot with something new.
