He communicates such elaborate and convoluted physics concepts with such understandability that makes him actually enjoyable to listen to. He's got a sense of humor and a real personality. this guy fabricates the complicated theories so consistence that it seems very easy to do it practically. but as per as i know there is an object or theory that until an unless put out of book. it would simply doesn't work. i personally believe, that things like large hadron collider would be an answer to our future theories to land on practical ideas into workable stuff.

About teleportation. Let's say we teleport a circuitry that have current running through it. What would happen to the current and all electro-magnetic fields in the circuitry as well as the temperature of the components? They would be all gone if we just teleport the positions of the particles and not their momentum. It would require knowing what would happen to each particle in the next moment of time. Impossible.

@junction99 Well, we can still stop it. The best way we currently know of is planting more trees. There is evidence that the newly-formed forests in the Devonian Period may have caused the ice age at that time.
Other solutions: Solar power, nuclear energy (not my favourite though, the use of so much water is not very good), Air Filters, Wind Turbines, battery Switching Stations. Let's not worry about what started it!! Let's fix it!

When the water passes smoothly around the boulder and if you are downstream, you see no evidence of the boulder because there is nothing the water can carry downstream to you. Same as when light wraps around a metamaterial, it can carry no information of the cloaked object. It literally would be invisible to sight.

you can see fine with a bunch of pinholes. that would cover seeing just fine. your suit might be flexible and invisible but your visor would be stiff and a bunch of pinholes so it's too small to detect eyeballs floating there.

About teleportation. Let's say we teleport a circuitry that have current running through it. What would happen to the current and all electro-magnetic fields in the circuitry as well as the temperature of the components? They would be all gone if we just teleport the positions of the particles and not their momentum. It would require knowing what would happen to each particle in the next moment of time. Impossible.
Human thought is electrical impulses. If teleported it would need to reboot.

Well, I guess very fast transportation could be considered as teleportation from a very slow observer.
However real teleportation may never be possible.
Some believe that some black holes are example of teleport but I wonder how come we haven't seen objects suddenly appearing close to black holes.

No because everything being teleported will be in a state of suspended animation.
Do not forget that particles are never stationary. Electrons always orbit atom nuclei, and all the smaller particles that make up these atoms are moving too so for teleportation to work everything will have to be stored in a state that contains all the energy and momentum, frozen in time. cont...

This suggest that teleportation would require some kind of time stopping and re-starting feature in order for it to work. This would lead me to think that before we can master teleportation we have to master antigravity/FTL.

Very interesting to listen to. So we have actually managed invisibility and teleportation on extremely small scales. Imagine what we will be able to achieve in a thousand years from now. It is breathtaking. The human evolution is accelerating at an incredible rate. No doubt when someone looks back at this story in 1000 years, this highly intelligent scientist (and the rest of us) will appear very backward. Amazing!

This is just "scientific fantasy" intended to sell books. This is very similar to what occultist do with signs and symbols. These are just unfounded speculations suggesting relationships between real events and imaginary ideas.
Every time when he says it is theoretically possible" one should understand "highly improbable scientific fantasy" with emphasis on fantasy.

Get your point gespilk, but sure enough we are going to advance at an incredible rate through the decades. For an example, what would someone living in the 19th century make of the internet? They would call it witchcraft, no doubt. I cannot personally accept or disregard Kaku's comments but I do believe if we skipped to, say 1,000 years into the future we would be amazed to say the least.

Perhaps you are correct. I hope you are correct. However many believe doomsday scenarios are likely to happen. They are often portrayed in movies like Mad Max, Postman, Waterworld, 2012, Aeon Flux, Johnny Mnemonic, etc.

Good point! I wasn't taking that into the equation. Man has designed some terribly powerful weapons and world leaders are not incredibly stable to say the least. That would be an awful thing to happen but as you say, probable.

combining genes to modify organisms and even ourselves is controversial. it will be well regulated and needs to be or things could quickly get out of control. I'm sure it will mostly be done to improve our living conditions, make us better human beings but hopefully not enough that we would no longer be human.

There are lots of technologys that can alter weather systems, however A type 2 civilization we are not. And neither should we be screwing with the bio-sphere any more so than it has already been screwed with.
