Don't use a butterfly needle. They're too narrow for blood tests. Often the blood blocks the needle, meaning another needle needs to be used and the person gets stuck more that once. Just do it with the big one the first time and get it over with. I'm terrified of needles too and I lay down and stare at the ceiling. I also like to talk to the nurse about things to keep my mind busy.
A cousine of mine has needle phobia, too.
Her doc take her under hypnose so she is relaxed.
Without it, she screems so loud that the whole Physician practice can hear her.

ASK THEM TO USE A BUTTERFLY NEEDLE NEXT TIME ITS MUCH SMALLER, U COULD ALSO USE LIDOCANE IT WILL NUMB THE AREA. D: IM SORRY YOU GET SO SCARED
