  • One has to wonder what Jan and Dean made of this cover....

"But if I hadn't cut him off... it would have been ME over the edge and HE'D be singin' this song!"

I for one, love it. Favourited.

  • Groovy Baby!! I Dig It!!

  • Fuck Yeah mate....awsum as!!!!

  • wheres the bass in this and the heart?

  • I saw in Stockholm some years ago, playing fiddle and sang.. Quite bizarre..

  • Saw Nash at the Royal oak music theatre in 1982 opeing for Iggy

  • Ok Limegreen but I know what a potato looks like but I couldn't identify an idividual one in detail lol

  • that`s the shame of a good song...they`re never long enough

  • Where is Nash now?? Did anyone every figure him out?

  • @xvoy2002 I know where he is. My dad knows hime. I also have seen his face!

  • @LimeGreenFever Well , don't tell anyone.. keep it a mystery. you can tell your grandchildren some day.

  • We, would love book Nash The Slash...in Metro Detroit, MI area.

  • Not exactly indicative of his overall sound. A poor choice of song for a first major single and that's probably why he remained obscure.

  • Nash the Slash...class act! Someone from the 80's who didn't suck!

    Mb

  • great music.

  • RIP - Martin Streek. We used to love this song!

  • Love this classic cover...

    "Hey, Doc....how's my..'Vette?"

  • seen him live in 1980 and he kicked the Tubes butt

  • shit i was 10 at the time..scared the cunt out of me too...lol

  • It creeped me out then and it creeps me out now. The fact that I'm disabled thanks to drunk drivers probably has something to do with that, though. (Of course, they're okay...)

  • this is rare gold.....thanks KroMagnum60

  • Thank you. A clever, clever man and an excellent musician. Had I seen this in 1980 it would have knocked my socks off.

  • superb pop at its craziest. one of the weirdest stars ever. superb!

  • Nash is on tour in the UK THIS MONTH - NOVEMBER 2008!!!! Contact me if you can't find the dates and details via Google!!

  • Best song ever apart from Micomicon Dissolve is Wolf from children of the night. its a crime that he is not better known when trash like the spice girls is rammed down our throats. That man has real talent.

  • Bought my first vinyl Nash LP back in the late 70's. Dreams and Nightmares. That album blew me away.I read an article at that time in Heavy Metal Magazine for new music. That was while I was in W. Germany.I made it a point to pick up all that vinyl when I got back to the states.Other artists on LP like Robert Fripp,Eno, Gary Newman and a couple of others.

    "The Chase" is my favorite.

  • this song has haunted me since 1980 when I first saw him support Gary Numan, in Newcastle. I have the single and often play it. I always thought it was Billy Curry (Ultravox) under the bandages.

  • @ozzychuck I know what he looks like XD

  • @ozzychuck 25 years old or more and the song still rocks,,

  • @ozzychuck TRASH like the spice girls? Well I happen to love both Nash The Slash AND The Spice Girls so figure THAT one out.

  • Try Two Artists dvd's particularly Micomicon dissolve. That song it beyond awsome. watch for the planes in all the videos cos his colleague Robert Vanderhorst is a plane freak.

  • I saw this guy play a cover of Born To Be Wild with D.O.A. last summer in London, Ontario (That's in Canada). Fuckin' awsome. That man is the MAN!

  • this takes me back....

  • Thanx for sharing !!

NASH is really a very great artist !!

No one can be found around, in these days ,to reach his level !!!

    Best Regards

    from

    STRONGPOINT

  • cover's simply good, but I find the video absolutely wonderful

  • the things i remember when im pissed. nash the slash, where the hell did that come from?????

  • Who was that masked man actually??

  • That was Nash, he wears surgical bandages and other disguises so that his true identity remains a mystery. Not much is actually known of him except that he's Canadian and awesome.

  • So much wisdom in one so young - thanks man. He might have been one of those shy canuck hockey goalies perhaps.

  • Absolutely fantastic to see this video!!

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with the lyrics, during the part where he's talking he says, "Hey doc, hows my *****" what is that missing word as I cant work out what he says??

    Cheers

  • vette, as in corvette.

  • A clip of the other version of Dead Mans Curve is in this interview clip below. I wonder what the story behind that is. It looks like the same idea is being done over again. Your clip of Dead Man's curve looks better though.

  • FANTASTIC!

Ive only seen this in little bits and pieces to promote Nash back in the 80s. There is another shot on video version similar to this that i have only seen in little snippets. There is a clip of it on one of my Nash interviews.

  • I watched that interview you posted. The snippet appears to be a promo for the single release back in Canada. My thought here is it was shot after he made it back home from his UK visit.

I was going to fix the audio/video timing, but

my trial version of TMPGen MPEG Editor ran out before I got to this project. The sync looks like it off around 300-500ms.Not really noticable.Which is the norm after pulling these videos off tape, cleaning them up,changing to other formats back and forth.

  • My paid version of TPMGen Plus is only good for VOB and MPEG2 coding which i used solely and exclusively for my home SVHS video to DVD I did in 2003.

I really liked the TMPGen MPEG editor 2.0 Premium. Did a damn good job on the other videos I uploaded here before this Dead Man's Curve video.

  • I'm happy someone finally put this on. Thanks
