Mok: anyone want a beer? Me: I would but first, I'll have some of the hard stuff; after all Beer before liquor: never been sicker. Liquor before beer: you're in the clear.
@ChristyDaae Don Francks played Mok's speaking voice, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop both wrote and performed his songs. Don Francks did a lot of "ominous" voice-over work through the '70s and early '80s for movie trailers and such.
@speeta I couldn't stop watching his lips the first time I saw a clip from Rock and Rule. Hearing his voice, it's a lot less high and creepy than it was in my mind. Which makes a nice contrast actually.
he is definately one of the best villans ive seen, the character is so into himself but your right his charisma and swagger are so cool it makes him an awesome villan
Interestingly, according to an interview, His name was originally "Mok Swagger", until Mick Jagger sued, and they changed his name to simply "Mok, the Magic Man"
(If I'd been Mick, I would have demanded to voice the character, not sue them...heh)
@ShadowSonic2 He was meant to be a sort of mix of every glam/legendary rocker. Probably a mix of reed, Jagger,. Bowie, all that. his name was set to be Mok Swagger, but mick Jagger was going to sue them, they shortened it to mok.
It's already in 3 parts, due to the 10 minute restriction. It's been more than a year since I made this, and I'm not sure I even have the files anymore.
It's actually a composite from several versions of the film
For those who are wonder what version this is, it's the Canadian version.

His mouth is fascinating and grotesque.

@Bananadine His mouth animation is captivating to watch, he over-enunciates like The Grinch from the TV special.

While Mok is probably one of my most favorite villains i also found him to be one of the most despicable ones.

Mok looks ridiculously hard to animate.

I thought they designed Mok with the idea that they'd get Jagger to voice him. Did he say no and THEN sue?

Hadn't heard that part...where'd you get that Info...it wasn't in the on-disk interviews on the DVD edition...

It was on a website, but when I look at other stuff it contradicts each other (some saying yes, others saying no) so I'm not sure.
