  • For those who are wonder what version this is, it's the Canadian version.

  • Mok: anyone want a beer? Me: I would but first, I'll have some of the hard stuff; after all Beer before liquor: never been sicker. Liquor before beer: you're in the clear.

  • @ChristyDaae Don Francks played Mok's speaking voice, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop both wrote and performed his songs. Don Francks did a lot of "ominous" voice-over work through the '70s and early '80s for movie trailers and such.

  • is this from the vhs

  • His mouth is fascinating and grotesque.

  • @Bananadine His mouth animation is captivating to watch, he over-enunciates like The Grinch from the TV special.

  • @speeta I couldn't stop watching his lips the first time I saw a clip from Rock and Rule. Hearing his voice, it's a lot less high and creepy than it was in my mind. Which makes a nice contrast actually.

  • Anybody has the little Triumph song by Lou Reed? I found only My name is Mok and it's a pain in the ass to find anything from this fantastic film!

  • Holy Fuck, who in the hell said you need to take drugs to get high in the 80's this movie is one giant mind fuck... IT'S AMAZING!!!!

  • God, he's cool, but whats going on with his lips? Definatley stands out from all the other characters.

  • While Mok is probably one of my most favorite villains i also found him to be one of the most despicable ones.

  • Mok looks ridiculously hard to animate.

  • 5:31-7:48

    My favorite scene of Mok.

  • @VerySourLemon mine too lol

  • badass entrance, yes i want that beer :)

  • Hm, the armageddon key is my screen saver. Go figure.

  • That's a kickass screen saver, where did you get it?

  • It came bundled with Windows 666, on my Compaq (with Satan)

  • TRIUMPH!!!! :)

  • he's more bowie than jagger.

  • @vectorboy101 Agreed!

  • i totally wanted to be a rockstar after seeing this as a kid

  • he is definately one of the best villans ive seen, the character is so into himself but your right his charisma and swagger are so cool it makes him an awesome villan

  • Interestingly, according to an interview, His name was originally "Mok Swagger", until Mick Jagger sued, and they changed his name to simply "Mok, the Magic Man"

(If I'd been Mick, I would have demanded to voice the character, not sue them...heh)

  • I thought they designed Mok with the idea that they'd get Jagger to voice him. Did he say no and THEN sue?

  • Hadn't heard that part...where'd you get that Info...it wasn't in the on-disk interviews on the DVD edition...

  • It was on a website, but when I look at other stuff it contradicts each other (some saying yes, others saying no) so I'm not sure.

  • @ShadowSonic2 He was meant to be a sort of mix of every glam/legendary rocker. Probably a mix of reed, Jagger,. Bowie, all that. his name was set to be Mok Swagger, but mick Jagger was going to sue them, they shortened it to mok.

  • It's already in 3 parts, due to the 10 minute restriction. It's been more than a year since I made this, and I'm not sure I even have the files anymore.

It's actually a composite from several versions of the film
