honestly, i was baptized in the lds church yesterday and i felt like i was forced into doing it. i wasnt comfortable before it and i got a very sick feeling after it. i truly do believe that the spirit of God can answer your questions and reveal the truth to you, but i also believe the book of mormon is completely false.
We are members of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...but we have the name of "mormons" for a great prophet that existed here in America long time ago....and we know him because in one of the books of our church (the book of mormon)talks about him and other prophets and their teachings ( this is not a book of men, is the word of God) words of love and charity for all the humanity
I am not a Mormon. I am a Methodist Christian. But, any religion, any denomination of Christianity should be blessed. They are wonderful people. So many say, "Mormons are racist" "Mormons are dumb" "Mormons have no proof they just believe" and that's just mean. Mormons are wonderful, loving people. Some of my best friends are Mormons. Thanks for apologizing; I understand how people feel about the prophets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but we never followed or worshiped Joseph Smith; we don't follow our current prophet (President Monson) like you think we do either. We follow Jesus and Heavenly Father, and our prophets are our guides. We go by the same exact teachings that you go by too, only our prophets add on to those teachings.

If people just visited a mormon church once, they wouldn't find anything false with it. They could try to make up things, but the the church of Jesus Christ is true. I know this to be true because I have found out for myself! Before you want to start making judgments about the LDS church, I'd find out more about it. Mormons are christians. Christian means to believe in God, it's not a specific religion.
I like david and his music. Yes people he is mormon, but everyone had their own beliefs and we should respect them. Just like I live in Utah and am a Catholic, but all my neighbors know I'm a strong believer in my faith and respect that. In return I respect their religion. In the end everyone believes in some sort of heavenly father and that's all that matters. So please show a little bit of respect. :)
People should just stop bashing on our church. They know nothing about it. They may know what people tell them but most of the stuff isn't true. i came up with a theory that involves the book of genesis (fig leaves) buddha (sitting under the bodhi fig tree) jesus (many sayings about figs) ross horne's book (new health revolution) and science (figs are the most important source of food for fruit eating rainforest animals). i then experimented on the figs by eating mainly dried figs (same brand) for 6 years now and found cylces which i related to the numbers in psgs 11/12 of the book of revelations. this theory has gone around the world.

If the information you are getting about the LDS church is from some source other than our resources or members, it has a high possibility to be false. Google and wikipedia have a tendency to not be 100% complete. Just throwing that out there. Plus you have to talk to an lds person. Its like trying to taste an apple by eating an orange. It doesn't work if it's not the source.

In order to receive eternal life, one must have had a change come over them. They must become a "new creature" (2 Cor 5:17). Faith and works are inseperable, as James taught. Without works, your faith is dead (James 2:14-26).

the book of mormon is a book that was found and translated alittle under 200 yrs ago. this book relates an account of the people who lived here on this american continent; written by ancient prophets that lived here. They testify of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, Creator of Heaven and Earth.
It teaches us many things, and is a powerful testimony that Christ lives, that God loves us and that he wants us to return to him.

i dont get it... so what if people are mormon or budist or christian or anything else people shouldnt judge by religion. it sort of angries me that others judge people in that way >:(

If people just visited a mormon church once, they wouldn't find anything false with it. They could try to make up things, but the the church of Jesus Christ is true. I know this to be true because I have found out for myself! Before you want to start making judgments about the LDS church, I'd find out more about it. Mormons are christians. Christian means to believe in God, it's not a specific religion.

I like david and his music. Yes people he is mormon, but everyone had their own beliefs and we should respect them. Just like I live in Utah and am a Catholic, but all my neighbors know I'm a strong believer in my faith and respect that. In return I respect their religion. In the end everyone believes in some sort of heavenly father and that's all that matters. So please show a little bit of respect. :)

People should just stop bashing on our church. They know nothing about it. They may know what people tell them but most of the stuff isn't true. All I really want is for people to stop criticizing us for nothing. There might be some Mormons who do bad stuff but not all of us are like that. Please just think about this.

i came up with a theory that involves the book of genesis (fig leaves) buddha (sitting under the bodhi fig tree) jesus (many sayings about figs) ross horne's book (new health revolution) and science (figs are the most important source of food for fruit eating rainforest animals). i then experimented on the figs by eating mainly dried figs (same brand) for 6 years now and found cylces which i related to the numbers in psgs 11/12 of the book of revelations. this theory has gone around the world.

If the information you are getting about the LDS church is from some source other than our resources or members, it has a high possibility to be false. Google and wikipedia have a tendency to not be 100% complete. Just throwing that out there. Plus you have to talk to an lds person. Its like trying to taste an apple by eating an orange. It doesn't work if it's not the source.

I'm a new member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am SO glad that I made the decision to join the Church a year and twenty-three days ago! (which is the date of my baptism fyi) Lol there have been so many blessings that I have received since my batism and confirmation. I love this Church, and am thankful for the members of the Church! ^_^

@Burlap2Cashmere -- I really agree with you. If Joseph Smith said that HE is the only way to heaven, then there's definitely a satanic attempt to take the focus off Jesus. Guys, you can have all the religious symbolism and ritual you want. But if you deny the blood sacrifice Jesus made of himself, then you're really not saved.

@tomboygirl1113 No one said Mormons denied the blood sacrifice of Jesus. But for some reason they seem to think you HAVE to include the works of Joseph Smith in order to be saved. Smith was big about the things HE did. It's one thing to travel all around the globe and preach the Gospel of Christ. It's another to boast your name above the name of Jesus in any way, shape or form. That's dangerous ground. And one day, we'll all see how dangerous it is when we witness the White Throne Judgement.

The salvation that Christ offers enables me to return to God. It is based on my faith in Him. However, as the Bible teaches, it is only those who "do his commandments" that "have right to the tree of life" and "enter into the gates of the city"(Rev 22:14). In order to receive eternal life, one must have had a change come over them. They must become a "new creature" (2 Cor 5:17). Faith and works are inseperable, as James taught. Without works, your faith is dead (James 2:14-26).

the book of mormon is a book that was found and translated alittle under 200 yrs ago. this book relates an account of the people who lived here on this american continent; written by ancient prophets that lived here. They testify of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, Creator of Heaven and Earth.
It teaches us many things, and is a powerful testimony that Christ lives, that God loves us and that he wants us to return to him.
