You refered to the space program in your remarks. Well, its too bad that you were not there to witness some mighty fine moments. America's finest hour I would say was when the crew of Apollo 8 quoted from Genesis in their greetings from space (Christmas '68). The crew of Apollo 8 was congratulated for rescuing an otherwise terrible year filled with Vietnam, assassinations etc. Not everyone connected with that event was atheist.
