@chris further to my post and your reply of 2 weeks ago (slow I know, but I live on a mountain top in Asia) What's a rabbit got to do with it? I thinks it's generally accepted that animals unlike humans and possibly some marine mammals are not 'aware that they are aware'. You are clearly a well meaning guy but you appear to be directing others to what is best described as 'mental enlightenment'. It's quite different to the moksha of true liberation. The one who thinks he 'knows', knows not.
@mountainbill108 With regards the rabbit, you'd suggested by your initial post that enlightenment was not an experience. Which I tend to agree with.... and not. My point was that unless there is awareness of pure presence then there is no enlightenment. It is this awareness that experiences enlightenment.
Very well meaning.......But the point I would like to make is that 'enlightenment' is NOT an experience. Experiences are merely signposts......And remember "you are not moving through life"...."Life is moving through you"...
@mountainbill108 Further to my last.... yes, Enlightenment is a non-experience. Yet there has to be awareness (ie consciousness) of that non experience - otherwise by the definition you propose my pet rabbit would be enlightened! It is the awareness of the non-experience (of enlightenment) that for me is the soul. So as I stated in the video, through the soul, you get a taste of the tasteless.
With eyes wide open, im having hard time with enjoying enlightenment when i see what happening in our current world. Wars, govenment lies, corporate deception. lamestreammedia, the suffering of humanity and so on. To ignore this negitivity insures us to fall deeper into this abyss. How do we deal with this and still enjoy enlightenment?
It is more difficult for us to enjoy because we see the whole world, not like the enlightened beings before us, they did not have the MSM (or LSM) to show all the horrible suffering and deciet, but by enjoying and see and feel with all beings suffering is not ignoring but bringing light to the dark. This is how I see it, others may have other views.
@commandorando123 What you're describing doesn't feel like enlightenment at all. It feels like you're still identifying with 'good' and 'bad', happy and sad. In Enlightenment, there is no need to enjoy anything, yet I feel that need in your question.
