I'm a PS3 owner. Okay, trading insults aside, can anybody tell me if Fires of Liberation had a specific glich... many centuries ago on Ace Combat Belkan War, if you wanted to turn off the music track, it meant completely muting every cutscene, however small. I know there's a "skip" function but I dislike using it because I'm a nerd like that. Anway, I'm hoping Namco have since got this tiny kink straigtened out since? Can any xbox users verify this?

Course it can, its only 50Hz clockspeed slower than the ps3 but the Architecture makes it faster virtually.

Look at comparisons and you will see the xbox has slightly more detail in the majority of games

Well all i can say is the cores dont do anything to the graphics only loading times, multitasking etc.

The GPU's are very similar so the graphics are gona be very similar too, tbh it doesnt matter whats better what matters is what suits your needs as they both have disadvantages and advantages

Don't get me wrong, the game has good graphics and all, but it still seems too "arcade -ish" to me. It's all to easy to shoot down an enemy. Missles that don't take any skill to fire off and enemies that die in 1 shot with the gun. And the missles respawn on the wings after you use them.... IL-2 will always be the king of fighter sims. And even then, it's not 100% simulator, but it's closer than any other fighter sim out there.

Anyways, just my 2 cents.

IL-2 and AHII are the top 2 dogfight sims out, and probably always will be. Ace Combat series was made for Arcadish style, but if they ever got it into a Simulator style no game would even come close!

Look back at my first post. The whole IL-2 series is possibly the best fighter sim out there. Sure it released in 2001, but I'd still play it over this game. Some might argue that it's not 100% simulator and I guess I could see that, but I'll tell you what, it's about as close to real life than any other game out there. It's way too easy to destroy targets in this game. In IL-2, it actually takes a fair amount of skill.

Umm is your xbox 360 a high memory gb console? cause if u want to save ur game to the memory base of the 360 you need a high gb console wich is like an extra 50 - 80 bucks? so ur gonna need to buy a new xbox360 or a memory card to save games.

err thats the one where u gotta destroy a fortress right? well wat i do is start with warlock cause they get destroyed the easiest and after i help out warlock i go for the river mission where u gotta shut down there power and destroy there ships so basically i skipped the mission where u gotta take out the tunnels :D. Hope this helps a bit.

o and also make ur plane be a anti ground like for example the A-10A thunderbolt using its fuel bombs or its multi targeting ground unit bombs (i dont know the names of the missles.) and make ur ally anti air by giving him typhoon(if you have it yet) with multi targetiing missles. This is how i beat the game on lv10.

I tried this game out at Circuit City. Liked the overall feel and the graphics blew me away. I own a Wii but this gives me a reason to want the 360. This and Forzamotorsport. I don't understand why nintendo doesn't have any great simulators like this. I mean, Mario Kart is cool but sometimes you want something totaly different. Just wish I could play it more to see if the gameplay are as good as the graphics.

The game is a semi-simulator, well Ace COmbat is anyway, the flight physics(in harder levels of play) can be next to simulator, the only thing this series has that makes it a semi-sim is the massive amounts of missiles and ussually the number of enemies, that gives it an arcadic feel but otherwise it is near simulator status.

well i go to Santa Clara U, my AFROTC works with Stanford U and yes i guess i am a mega nerd... So much so that I have pilot slot.

I just prefer plane games that actually have somewhat of a flight model that deals with lift, instead of an object that moves as if it is in space. And to have actual control of the planes control surfaces.
